Amos Pewter is a workshop located in Mahone Bay on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, where skilled artisans have been creating pewter jewelry, home décor, ornaments, and tableware since 1974. The historic open studio is housed in a building that was once a boat building shop from around 1880. Visitors can call ahead for a free guided tour or watch the artisans demonstrate their craft, including pouring molten pewter into molds and hand-finishing each piece to ensure quality. The shop offers hands-on experiences, allowing guests to make their own pewter items to take home, which both kids and adults find enjoyable. Customers appreciate the clever designs, such as keychains and jewelry, and often comment on the friendly, knowledgeable staff. The jewelry, including items like Celtic wreath pendants and dandelion necklaces, is highly praised for its craftsmanship and attractiveness, with some items arriving quickly and well-packaged. Overall, Amos Pewter provides a unique combination of craft demonstration, hands-on activity, and beautiful pewter products.
Quite a pleasant surprise. Not merely a store, but a shop making the pewter items, demonstrating that process, and explaining it to interested customers. Very large collection of pewter items designed, manufactured, and sold in house. Pleasant staff.

They gave a great demonstration. I loved the look and bought 3 sets of earrings.

Each of us bought our favorite goods here. The design is very ingenious. Originally, I wanted to buy a small cat-shaped photo clip. But I found that dogs, monkeys, frogs and lizards of the same sequence had facial features, but cats did not. Finally, I bought a lobster claw-shaped keychain.
