It's a great place to go hiking anytime of the year, but the trails can be challenging. They are not well grooomed with nice wide gravel roads like you find on the Canada trails system but raw trails thru the woods, with the exception of the Lake Martha trail. But thats what makes them so good. The house and trees are awesome... and so is the Uniacke history. There is plenty of parking and on-site washrooms.

We toured the Estate Museum and got good insight from the staff on the history of the house and Uniacke family. Then we hiked the Red Spruce loop described as 1.5 km Challenging walk of high difficulty. I would rate it as medium as it is a natural trail and there were wet spots that I had to balance while stepping between stones to avoid soakers and mud. The Red Spruce Trail is not suitable for strollers or bikes but has brooks and a mossy bog. I will be back to try out the other trails. Beautiful spot to launch kayaks.

Well preserved heritage home, with a good cafe for a light meal. The grounds have walking trials suitable for most levels of fitness.

We didn't have a chance to go inside, as the time didn't work out (museum is closed between 12 and 1) but loved the trail we took and the vistas around the lake.

I've only done a few of the trails, but I will definitely be back to try the rest (on a regular basis). Gorgeous park, well maintained trails, plenty of signs and easy rooms on site. Beautiful.

What a beautiful spot to spend a day, the house and the history of the place is very interesting, the antiques in the house are beautiful, the staff are very friendly and informative, they have a tea room in the basement kitchen, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, picnic tables as well, and numerous walking trails, one of them beside Lake Martha, my eight year old granddaughter really enjoyed her visit with us, she is still talking about it, so glad we visited, will certainly return soon, a hidden gem.

Great spot, can do alot of walking here...Water and snacks advised if you have small kids, some paths are not as trimmed as others and gets quite tight at times or else I would have gave 5 stars. Really nice place

Well maintained trails at the back the estate. The estate by itself is a great museum which offers a glimpse back into the old days. The lake is opening its arms to your kayak or boat during summertime. Wide open lawns with picnic tables on work just perfectly for families and friends.

We visited this spot in the thick of winter after a heavy snow fall and it was honestly such a beautiful trail to be on.The signage is great and you can easily follow the routes you can take as they are all colour coded. In the winter go early on and try and make it out before dark as the gate closes earlier. I can’t wait to go back and possibly again in the summer too when the area is in bloom.

Walked on the Red Spruce Loop of the Uniacke Trail System. Beautiful woods by the lake.
