My spouse purchased almost $800 in Premier Extra paint from Greenwood CT to start a major painting project. I had to purchase a couple more cans of paint to complete this project. Unfortunately Greenwood did not have the paint I needed but the New Minas location did.
Long story short, 3 trips (almost 6 hours of driving over 2 days ) and EVERY can was incorrectly mixed. All 4 cans had the exact same label and type of base label as the ones in Greenwood. Double checked. The colour differences are subtle and unfortunately some paint was applied before this was caught causing several extra hours of work. I had helpers hired and vacation time taken myself.
As for the Premier Paint product itself, absolutely fantastic. Coats very even, great colour (when mixed correctly and quality ensured) but I do not recommend relying on Canadian Tire.
The best solution they could offer was wait approx. 1 week for a new shipment or drive to Tantalon or Dartmouth locations. I also have 5 days to wait for my credit card to be refunded AND I have to drive back to New Minas to return the paint. Manager and staff were "polite" enough once they realized it was not the customers fault ?

Your typical Canadian Tire store, but with poor hours of operation. They close at 7 pm, not 9 pm like most other large retailers.

It is a Canadian Tire. It has more than just tires. My go to store.

I guess I’m a glutton for punishment, because the last 4 products I have purchased from this store have come either damaged, or missing an item in the box … yet I have continued to purchase other products.
Today was the last straw - I opened the box to the brand new vacuum I bought - and surprise surprise, it’s missing the carpet stairs/pet attachment mini powerhead. If I didn’t just drive it to the cottage 3 hours away from civilization, I would have returned it. But I need it tonight so l guess I’m out of luck.
I have now bought a carpet cleaner that was previously used and full of dog hair - a coffee maker with a missing lid - and a barbeque missing the lid handle. I will never buy anything from this store again.
Oh and don’t even get me started on the mechanic area - I dropped off my Honda CRV to fix the exhaust - and they billed $300 and never fixed the problem. I then took it to a local mechanic who showed me the “work” they had done - which was cut out a piece of pipe and then weld cement all around it, with holes in the cement/welding. He explained it wouldn’t pass its upcoming inspection as over 75% of the work remained unattached - and this mechanic fixed it for free because he felt badly that Canadian Tire ripped me off so bad. On top of that, the original problem was a missing screw which he fixed, and charged $80 for. I called Canadian Tire and dealt with someone very rude - I asked for a follow up and no one ever called. Fun fact is that the person I dealt with defended the labour charge, (2.5 hours) - meanwhile, from the time of drop off to the time stamp on our credit card receipt was 1 hour and 6 mins.
Stay away.

Got my MVI done here in December, was told that except for the started belt - which was showing it’s age - that everything looked great. 4 months later my exhaust has somehow rusted so much it falls off my car. A month after that one of my back breaks wore so thin that it slipped out of place and got suck in the rotor, causing the whole thing to seize; friction then came into play and not knowing what was happening and worried I’d be late to work I continued to drive on it until I saw what can only be described as a bonfires worth of smoke and sparks. I’m now out $1200 to replace almost everything for that wheel instead of the $400 it wold have been to replace the breaks and callipers in the first place. Oh and did I mention that 2 weeks before my MVI I got that same exhaust -the one that fell off- repaired (supposedly)? Turns out they only fixed part of it but charged me as if they’d done it all. And their response when I complained to them? Well winter in Nova Scotia and all that salt is hard on cars. No duh. But that’s why we get MVI’s to make sure they’re still road worthy. If they’re not familiar with damaged parts enough to tell when they should be in the scrap pile then they shouldn’t be mechanics.

Horrible experience with the service department. Son dropped his car if for repairs and was given a quote for the part which was to take a few hour to install. Left my phone number to call me to confirm repair costs before work was done. I called in and confirmed that the part was the same cost as quoted to my son. During the next three weeks that the car sat there, I called in SEVEN times to get an update. No new price and assured each time that they had my number and would call when they started work. The last day of the three weeks is the first time they called to say the job was done. The final bill and it was DOUBLE the quote. Following week finally got hold of the service manager, Gord, who assured me he would have never quoted the stated amount for the job. Wouldn't explain why I wasn't called, or why they would just do a repair over three weeks with no quote-then hung up on me. Maybe someone should explain to the service manager of the service department what service means...Very unprofessional, very expensive and just rude.
