I am an avid Homesense shopper. I’ve never had a problem in over a decade until New Minas a few days ago. I don’t give negative reviews.
My husband and three year old entered to grab some Christmas items, and my potty-training toddler needed a bathroom urgently. My husband asked an employee, maybe middle aged, where the bathroom was. She refused, even though my son was distraught.
“Are you going to buy anything?” She said.
I understand “customers only” but we’ve been there numerous times and I’d estimate spent thousands of dollars on furniture and home furnishings. Regardless, I’ve never being denied bathroom use at a homesense. Even if the policy changed, an exception couldn’t be made for a toddler? My little guy peed his pants, cried, and was so embarrassed and ashamed the entire car ride home.
I will not be shopping here again and I encourage others to do the same.
