Its a repair shop that sold me a cheaply repaired vehicle. painted it to try to hide the rust but the thing wasn't roadworthy at all and show have been scrapped

Great folks, we were traveling through and car broke down. We were told to drop in and he would check it out. Was able to diagnose the problem in 15 min. Ordered the parts and fit me in the schedule the same day. He even gave us his car for the day so our family could go site seeing while the car was getting repaired. I spoke to the owner on numerous occasions about the dodge journey I purchased from him. I travel two hours to get the car. I took his word that the car was running well. He asked me if I wanted to take it for a drive before I purchased it when I got there and I said no which was my first mistake. I’m getting a very loud sound from my valve, lifters a ticking sound which is getting worse. I explain to him before I bought the car that I was on a small pension and I couldn’t afford a car. I need to put a lot of money in here a week later I have these issues and it’s gonna cost me over $300 just to repair the air conditioning problem and over 200 to try and repair the noise in the lifters and that might not even work. The owner seems like a fine gentleman. I’m just disappointed I didn’t know this before purchasing.
