Braeside Country Inn is a beautiful, charming, and cozy historic inn built in the early 1930s. It is a lovely little place in Pictou with a beautiful view of the water, offering a true old-school bed and breakfast experience reminiscent of simple travel lodges. The rooms are nice, simple, very clean, and comfortable. Guests should note rooms are on the second and third floors with only stairs and no elevator. The inn is very close to the PEI ferry. The service is great, friendly, and emblematic of maritime hospitality, with very helpful and kind hosts who aim to please. A nice continental breakfast is served, described as delicious with a perfect amount of choices, including croissants, cereals, eggs, and a fabulous freshly made fruit salad. The inn also features a nice little deck with chairs and a table for sunny days. While there are no in-room coffee makers, items like kettles may be available upon request. It is not a fancy hotel but a charming country inn that protects a small-town aesthetic.

We loved this historic building! The service was great , the hosts were very friendly. Breakfast was a delicious, perfect amount of choices for a continental breakfast. I would go again if I would get in the area!

Charming inn, built in early 1930s as a hotel. Very helpful owner. Nice continental breakfast with a fabulous freshly made fruit salad. No elevator. Nice little deck with chairs and table for sunny days

Lovely little place in Pictou. Beautiful view of the water. If you love historic buildings, this is the place! The rooms are clean. We got a corner ocean view room and the 2 windows were nice to have during the heat! Fast WiFi. Overall charming. Friendly service from Linda who was happy to help us out with a last minute...
