Ripped off. Dropped off our jeep last night. Got a call tonight saying the vehicle is ready. The vehicle was in to have the front (2) brakes done. This shop tried charging $400+tax for this service. I have 3 quotes i received afterwards from other reputable shops quoting an hour per side. He told me he ripped me off because he thinks other shops are too booked up to see me, which is false. I get times are getting tough, but ripping people off is not the way to do business. I tried to pay debit and he only wanted cash. I refused to pay 400+tax so we compromised that 300 cash. Avoid this place if you can.

Tried to get a travel trailer inspection and made an appointment, and then my tow vehicle died so I couldnt make the appointment. After a month at the dealership I finally got my tow vehicle back and they fit my trailer in. This was at the height of the season and they didn't want me to have to wait any longer given the whole summer was gone waiting for my truck. Anyway they were kind enough to get us in and we appreciated their efforts given how busy they were.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Brought a trailer to them and they told me exactly what was missing. Went and bought it and installed it. Brought it back to them and they signed it off. Never gave me a run a round. Will be going back to them if i need anything done. Great people!

Hello Michelle,I just finished talking to Jessie of Musgo Rider confirming that the twisted handle of the ramp had been fixed by Veinotte's Truck and Auto for free. She was very happy with the work done as she would never have to replace the lower half of the ramp. She is thankful that we found your company which she will definitely visit for service in the future. She’s very proud in saying that she had the best customer experience with Veinotte’s Truck and Auto. In behalf of our company, Move Mobility, I would like to thank you for helping out our customer and I look forward to working with you again. My deepest gratitude!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I leased a car just over a year ago and the staff at Veinotte's has been a huge help! If there's anything wrong with the car they have no problem checking it out and explaining to me exactly what they're doing and why. They never push me to purchase things that aren't necessary just to increase their sale and they're honest about what needs to be fixed now and what things I can wait on. They walked me through what was being done, didn't overcharge, and gave me lots of tips on how to keep my car in top shape in the future. The staff were all friendly, experienced and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!

I have been going to David Veinotte’s Truck and Auto Service for a few years now and I have to say...... BEST....SERVICE....EVER!!!! Other places will point out things that you don’t have to fix to be on the road. The wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable staff here take their time to explain the issues, options for ways to fix the issue and honestly how serious of an issue it is. They are extremely cost effective and skilled which is a rare combination in today’s automotive climate. I can’t thank Jordan and the wonderful ladies and Gentlemen who work their enough for making every trip I take in my car with my family confidentially safe!!!!

We were recommended by a friend to go here to get our front exhaust pipe replaced on our 2005 Sienna. Only $55/hr. While my husband is able to do most of our vehicle work at home, it's difficult getting under there without a hoist or a pit to do the exhaust work. So we decided to bring it in to Veinotte's since he has a hoist, it's close-by to us, and the labour is cheap. We needed the exhaust done in order to pass an MVI (flex pipe was leaking). I had purchased all the necessary parts (including the 3 gaskets that were needed, and the spring bolt kit) online, and brought them to Veinotte's. When we got the bill, we were charged 2.25 hrs, so the total bill came to about $150 after a $6.19 "supplies" fee, and tax. We questioned why the 2.25 hours (other places only charge 1 hour), and figured that it might have been a pain to get off the old exhaust (Nova Scotia rust; you know how it is).Veinotte's also did the MVI for us, and failed it, saying that it needed the left rocker panel done (it was pretty rusty; though we just had the right done, hoping that the left would be okay enough to pass). The other thing they said needed to be done was the sway bar links. We replaced the links 3 years ago when we bought the van, but, okay, sometimes they go when roads get rough (and they do in NS). However, Veinotte's quoted us $150 (after tax) in just labour (not including the links) to replace the links (so... 2.25 hours). I questioned them about this, and they said that they'll charge us less if it takes less time. Considering they just finished charging us $150 to replace the front pipe, it seemed sketchy to us to be quoted $150 for labour to replace stabilizer links since they can easily be cut off (instead of fighting with rust and seized bolts/nuts) and quickly replaced. Should take them 20-30 minutes. So my husband and I came to the conclusion that the $55 /hr rate is to get people to come in, and then they likely overcharge hours for labour. So we declined. We brought our van to another autobody shop for the rocker panel (he did a great job), and my husband did the stabilizer links at home. We then brought it in for an MVI elsewhere. Also, the links appeared to be totally fine. We were yanking on them, and they didn't budge. But my husband decided to replace them anyway since we just bought them online (we also weren't decided at the time whether we would go back to Veinotte's for the MVI).Oh, but it gets BETTER. A few weeks ago, the engine light comes on, and it starts sounding louder. We suspect an exhaust leak. Didn't have time to investigate, since we were going on a long, 2,000 km trip. During our trip, the sound got progressively worse. DEFINITELY an exhaust leak. We put it up on ramps at the place we're staying at during our trip, and sure enough, one of the exhaust joints is leaking like a sieve. My husband notices that there is gasket maker all over each of the 3 joints. He takes off two of the joints, including the one leaking, and finds that one of the gaskets is clearly the original and all rotted out (see picture). So despite me bringing in brand new gaskets, at least one of the gaskets was not replaced at all. So now my husband is fixing it himself (thankfully my dad has ramps, which makes things easier).I would definitely not recommend anyone going to this place for work on their vehicle.

I have been a customer of Veinotte's since 2010 and have brought several vehicles to be serviced, all of which has been done to my satisfaction and provided me with significant savings. My biggest savings was after bringing my 2014 Kia Rondo to the dealership for servicing. I was surprised to find that my brakes were considered to be in terrible shape, so much so that they advised me to be careful driving home just a few kilometres away. Since I had only recently purchased this vehicle I sought a second opinion and decided to bring it to Veinotte's. Not only did Jordan find out that my brakes were in perfect shape, but their rates and cost of supplies for my minor repairs were less than half the price that my dealership had quoted me - a savings of several hundred dollars.I am a committed customer and will continue to employ Veinotte's for all of my vehicle needs. I feel confident in their abilities, as well as their dedication to providing the best service - not just simply "what will do" to get you through the next inspection. I am a cautious vehicle owner and truly trust Veinotte's with my family's safety.
