Google Maps says the branch is open until 5:00. Upon arriving at 3:10, I see a sign in the lobby that teller service ends at 3:00. And then the staff member gives me a bad attitude, basically implying tough luck and come back another day. Scotiabank should make sure their hours/info on Google and other social media is correct and comprehensive.

Marcy couldn’t have been more helpful. Solving a new card issue for my friend.

Absolutely terrible service expect to wait in line for 30 minutes then someone else will take your place that was sitting down. Too much socializing with customers as well. Get your act together

Such an unpleasant experience going into this branch. Tellers never give a hello or thank you. The only pleasant teller just left. When mentioning Scotiabank in the community, most feel the same and rely on the Truro branch. If we didn’t have our amazing people at Scotia Wealth, and the Truro branch we wouldn’t bank at Scotiabank, due to continued negative interactions in Tatamagouche.

Matt Ellis is currently the newest branch manager and is by far the rudest person I have ever met. I was humiliated in this branch publicly after asking to speak to him privately in his office several time and he refused. He openly admitted he didn't care several times and how he wouldn't change his rash actions or behavior in the future. I dealt with him for a month and from the beginning he was uncaring, rash, unkind and failed to follow proper protocol. I came to speak to him regarding a personal and business account. Not once did he even bother to ask about my business, or take 2 seconds to find out where it was or what it was. When I asked him how long he had worked here he said "that irrelevant ". He refused to answer basic questions. It's unfortunate. This whole situation could have been handled differently from the beginning. Every interaction with him was worse than the one before. My situation has escalated to the office of the president and is currently being investigated. If you must use Scotia bank I would highly suggest to avoid this one and go to another branch. I hear Pugwash is lovely.Unfortunately I will never bank with Scotiabank again due to the behavior of one man who refused to admit he acted rashly and unnecessarily. Not to mention he broke client confidentiality by loudly exaggerating my issues infront of the entire staff and a branch with customers in it.

I went into the bank to pay a bill, with my cheque already filled out. There was nobody at the teller so I walked up there. The teller told me that another lady was there before me. This other lady was fiddling with her purse over at a distant table, and was not ready to go to the teller. Then she couldn't figure out how to use the hand sanitizer. Meanwhile, I was ready to get my business done, and could have been finished by the time she wandered over to the teller. She wasn't in line! You should have let me go first!

Not too bad for a small town bank.

Not responsive to emailed and online requests. Phone support sends you to Halifax, where they know nothing. It's hard to get support from the branch if you don't live near it.

Good bank, very rarely do I find I have to wait longer than a minute or two. Polite and friendly.
