“I booked Discount Movers for a local move yesterday. Arnell, the owner, was very friendly right from the beginning. I requested quotes from about 15 different companies and Arnell was the fastest to provide the quote and was the most pleasant to talk to. Most other companies quoted me about $1K more than Arnell but cost aside, I would have chosen Discount Movers based on Arnell’s superior customer service.The movers arrived on time and worked HARD for 8 hours to complete my move. The move took a bit longer than the quoted time but I had more stuff than I expected and we weren’t allowed to put the elevator on service in my building which added time to the move. Neither of those issues were Discount Movers’ fault, though! I was prepared and had assumed the move would take longer than expected (because when moving, things rarely go as planned). Arnell was very apologetic but I assured him it was something out of his control and it was mostly my fault for having so much stuff! (There were a LOT of boxes!! Haha)Arnell’s staff were wonderful! The three men that completed my move were friendly, efficient, and hard workers. Since I am new to the area, and the movers knew the area well, they gave me some recommendations on good restaurants, etc and told me how to avoid rush hour traffic. Even with the amount of stuff I had, they stayed in a positive mood all day. Arnell also helped unload the truck to get the move done as quickly as possible.I hope I don’t move again soon but I will be recommending Discount Movers to anyone I know that is moving. I found out they also offer a delivery service which I will be using when I get some new furniture for my new apartment!Thank you Arnell and staff for turning what would have been a stressful day into seamless magic!”

The movers were fast and efficient, and though they were a bit behind on the day of loading, they kept me informed which is all I can really ask for. My stuff arrived at my new place 2000 km away just one week later, completely intact. Unloading was again professional and quick, and the documentation made me feel very secure. I was kept well-informed through the entire process and the quoted cost was the real cost as well -- there were no hidden fees or anything like that. I will use them again!”

“My move from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia was long and stressful, driving a 20ft truck with my car on an auto transport.On the Newfoundland side, everything went wrong and the staff were rude and NOT helpful.I was NOT told about the FREE month of storage with my U-Haul rental either.BUT, the staff at Horseshoe Crescent in Halifax, NS were patient, friendly, and so so helpful!1)They let me move into my storage unit a day early. And a FREE sturdy lock with every storage rental!2)A staff member reversed the rental for me making my life so much easier!3)I cleaned my truck rental. But, I returned it on a rainy day and we couldn't avoid footprints.
