In general in a lot of stores, especially lately, I’m finding the service under par, but not with Dana tonight! She was so great!! Please thank her for me!! She deserves a raise!!”

“Winners is winners, you go and find stuff a few times a week. My entire apartment is from homsense, winners, marshalls or tj Maxx, it's all the same. I like going through and finding things. I don't usually buy clothing here, but I do buy shoes and home items, I buy a lot of gifts here too and pet stuff. I always spend at least 20 mins in these stores unless I'm specifically looking for 1 thing. I love this store. Lol”

“I called ahead to Reitmans as I have an exemption to wear a mask. I explained my circumstance and asked if it would be possible to shop a few minutes before opening or a few minutes past closing. The manager, Alanna, was so accommodating. We worked out a time that worked for both of us and wasn't an inconvenience to her. I went in this morning, having looked online ahead of time, and having a very good idea of what I needed to purchase. She was AMAZING!! I left there in overwhelming happy tears, with 3 pairs of pants! I can't even express how very much I appreciated the experience!! Thank you thank you Alanna!! I look forward to shopping there again. Side note: I have shopped in this store several times in the past and they are always great. I just haven't shopped for clothes in over a year (under the circumstances-being silently and outwardly judged for not wearing a mask) and desperately needed bottoms.”

I called the Halifax location and a gal by the name Ava was so pleasant to work with over the phone. She was eager to help me find the jacket and when she did, she immediately jumped on their computer, and with the help of some other amazing staff, got my information and is now presently packing up and shipping the jacket to me. She was incredibly helpful showing me around and letting me feel the fabrics before buying them. She was absolutely lovely to talk with and was super friendly.They have a huge selection of clothes and scarves and a good selection of perfumes too (the store smelled AMAZING). I absolutely recommend this little shop!”

“Lots of selections on clothes and men's women's apparel. More on the expensive but then again you pay for what you get. Lots of clearance sales on when I was there. Thought $50 for a hat was high but then I thought if I wear that hat every day for a year or so I think it's pretty sensible!”

“Last week I was walking by the stores on the top level at the mall (Halifax Shopping Centre), the stores were closed, but I glanced downstairs and saw this glittery dress through the window and thought "Wow, if I had the body"So for the past 2 years during covid, I've gained weight like many others and lost a lot of confidence in my physical appearance. I even went on a trip to USA and had 0 luck. After I finished work yesterday, I decided "Today was rough... and I deserve a little retail therapy too!" Well I hit up BBW naturally lol, but then, I had to see this glittery dress for myself.As I walked in the staff were all very inviting and I didn't get very far before multiple people offered me help, or to check for sizing as XL is a rare one. I heard the staff explain how to spell my name for the fitting room as she took my pile of dresses. (I have struggled with the motivation to spend money on myself and just felt unpretty, but to my surprise all 3 dresses I tried were amazing!)I didn't shy away from the email sign up and got the opportunity to save on the spot. I heard the staff joking with customers and doing an online order and everything was just seamless.With that being said I wasn't to personally thank the team at the store for making me valued, we all need a little recognition today! I'll be back for my birthday dress very soon! :)”

OPINIONS !!I find it so much more helpful when a sales associate actually gives me an opinion of “I love this one/I like that one better”also I don’t know about anyone else but for me i am way more inclined to buy something that a sales person says I look the best in vs “you look amazing!” to every single thing. If I look good in everything I can afford to buy nothing ????Besides the excellent customer service here, the selection is great, they have very inclusive sizing and there’s way too many cute things (only complaint! Jk) but for real; I didn’t think I’d buy so much from here, I don’t shop here often but I will definitely be going again !”

I was impressed not only with the cleanliness and tidiness of the store and racks on such a busy day, but also with how speedy and positive the staff were despite being down to one register as they were having system errors. Overall a great shopping experience”

“The Plaid Place has been my favourite store for years. There is such a huge selection of celtic products to choose from. The owner and staff are great to deal and very knowledgeable. I've rented kilt garb from them in the past and even ordered my own! Can't recommend them enough.”
