If you are a donor do not go here. They are RIDICULOUSLY RUDE. I arrived 30 minutes early because they always asked me to before and then told me that I wasn't welcome into the building until my appointment time. I politely said yes and was told that "we have never done that before" and I have given almost two gallons of platelets at this specific place, and knew that I was correct. I have never been treated so poorly for wanting to help people. I drive an hour to this site because of one of the workers and I will NOT be coming back.

I went here for a blood donation in July. It was, all in all, a great experience. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, and reassuring for a first time blood donor. The volunteers working check in were very helpful, and the nurses were excellent. Shawn (dunno if it is spelled that way) was awesome. He took my donation, and knew the answer for every little nervous question i had. Found my vein immediately, and had a deft touch for everything. I will definitely be participating again as soon as I am able. Also, you get a free ticket to Cedar Point, which is valid until September of 2021! Cant recommend them enough.

I have been giving blood on West Market Street in Akron now for about 20 years. I have nothing negative to say about the care and treatment I've received at the Akron blood donor center. The people working at the blood donor center are very professional and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I cannot say the same about the people at the call centers. Twenty years ago scheduling was held locally in Akron. It was easy. It should be easy. After all, you are donating. You are taking the time to help someone in need. Scheduling through their call center is a headache. If you intend to give blood, I suggest downloading the Red Cross app. Once you get used to using that app it is much easier than dealing with the 800 number. Giving blood is one way I can truly help someone. In the last 20 years, I am confident that I have saved a few lives. Can you say that? Give blood. It's a good thing.

I donated blood at the Lutheran church today in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. June 13, 2020. 330pm The computer intake people (not the greeter) had some bad attitudes...snotty. The blood drawing people were friendly.

Gave platelets for the first time to today and was have trouble with a valve in one of my veins. Lisa and the staff handled it like the professionals they are. They made sure I was comfortable and understood everything that was going on. 10/10 will be coming back here when I am eligible.

I donated platelets for the first time today and this was also my first time at this facility I couldn’t be happier with me experience. I was comfortable, taken good care of, the stick was smooth and only one try (and I’m a hard stick) I was very impressed with everyone.
