Reserved a truck for the next day through them. I received a call 2 minutes before my reservation saying they overbooked and did not have a truck for me. 3 days later I received a $75 charge for being a "No-show". Have been on the phone a combined 3 hours and have yet to get my money back.

Lied to me about my car return time. I had to change my pick up location to the 259 W Market St Akron, OH 44303 location and they said “1200” as a return time. The paperwork I received stated the same thing. A 1200 return time to Akron canton airport. A lady came out and said “they charged you extra, can you bring it back to this location?”. I said “of course”, not knowing she changed the time to 1000 without telling me. When I tried to return it she tried telling me my paperwork said a 100 return time, which I would have known if she had given me the new paperwork. She knew what she was doing. I also didn’t receive my safety deposit back even though I returned the car with a full tank of gas and without damage. I also received the car with an incorrectly patched tire that went flat the second day I had it. I should have trusted the reviews for this place. Please never rent from here.

I don't know how this place can keep robbing their customers without repercussion. Definitely a live and learn situation with this company who also goes by Avis. I highly recommend a more moral company to do business with. Check out the reviews before renting and you will see the consistency in them stealing from their customers! I have dealt with Enterprise with absolutely no issues with double charges ect. on several occasions. Customer service will try to justify their bogus charges and after hours of frustration you may get a partial refund as they did in my circumstance. These reviews speak for themselves and I wish I would have done more research before dealing with Budget/Avis. This is 6mos after my rental date at time of review and not a soul has reached out from this company except for a TON of emails about their so called "deals". Avoid the frustration and find another company at all cost.

This was my first time renting with budget and I was nervous. However, the new employee Joanna was absolutely phenomenal,kind, personable and all around provided great customer service. My services there were quick and made easy! I will definitely be renting here again if Joanna is there!

Personnel was really nice at the Akron W Market location. The vehicle was clean but the limited selection of make and model was disappointing.i do understand its a small location. Would go back because of the easiness of booking and the friendly ladies at the counter.

I hate to be a Karen but this was such a frustrating experience. My boyfriend and I had pre-booked a rental online. When we appeared on our pick up date we were told that the car we signed up for hadn’t been returned by the original renter, so they made us pay more to get a different car because it was an upgrade even though what we had booked wasn’t provided. The car was nice, it gave us no troubles throughout the week. The car was due back on Sunday at 1:00 PM with a full tank. Don’t get me wrong I cut it very very close between traffic and getting gas, but I pulled in to the lot to return it with a full tank of gas at 12:58 PM. I walked up to the door with my keys and papers (now 12:59 PM) to find that the workers had decided to close up early. I was frustrated, but I saw that there was a Dropbox around back for the keys, so I walked around the building to place it in with my papers and I could hear the employees talking and laughing inside. Next day, I found out we got charged an entire day late fee….. because they locked the door before they were closed…. I had to call customer service and stay on the line for 19 minutes to try and address this, and I’m still not entirely confident it’s been handled. The customer service worker told me that the workers had marked my return date and time as Monday at 7:53 AM, because that’s when they went back to work the next day and entered in the return I left the day before on time. Online it even says there’s a 29 minute grace period for late returns but we got the charge for being on time.

Our vehicle was ready as promised. We had no problems. Staff was friendly. My husband left his drivers license and we received a call promptly to inform us. Very pleased with the company

Your vehicle left me stranded on the side of the road 30 minutes after picking it up due to a flat tire... inspection was not done thoroughly. In Akron, OH. When I needed to drive 3 hours to PA. The spare tire was also FLAT!! Then you charge me $388.68 for a KIA SOUL!!!!! I needed a rental from friday-sunday.I was over charged and put at risk. AWFUL!

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The vehicle was very clean and a fairly new model. Will be using them in the future rather than the airport rental agencies.

I was initially scheduled to pick up a rental car at the Akron/Canton Airport Budget rental desk. When I arrived I was told that I had to use a credit card as they would not accept a debit card for the transaction due to being a corporate owned rental place. That would have been nice to know before I drove an hour to the airport but that wasn't Budget's fault. That was AAA's fault. When I located the Budget Rental place on Market Street which was a franchise owned Budget rental place, not a corporate rental place, the parking lot was small and full of cars. They need a larger parking area. The staff were extremely friendly and very flexible. They didn't have the initial sized car I was originally searching for but they upgraded me to a more suitable car for my needs. I would definitely use this franchise Budget Rental place again.

Terrible experience! Reserved and paid for the car 3 weeks in advance. Two cars with mechanical issues, third car that I reserved..5 hours before going back for the third time… they couldn’t rent to me because it needed an oil change and no one would be in til Monday to do it. I had to go to a different company to get a car. Delayed my trip by several hours. Then they charged me $120 instead of refunding my $446. Now they say they won’t refund the $446 because I prepaid and those are the rules. So, they don’t have to have a properly working safe vehicle..where does the contract say that??? I would give 0 stars if that was a possibility!!

Do not do business here if you are a pet owner. $250 for pet hair in the vehicle even when it just comes off your clothing. Vacummed and polished the entire inside of the vehicle and still got dinged. Consider the deposit as a permanent part of the price and go somewhere more affordable.

Absolutely horrible experience, wish there was a negative 5 rating! They neglect to mention the $200 extra security deposit in all the reservations and emails you receive prior to pickup. The lady working at this location was very rude and they didn't even have the correct vehicle to give us. I returned my vehicle 1.5 hours before it was due, they charged me $65 for an additional day and put on my receipt it was returned after 3pm when it was dropped off keys handed to the associate at 1pm. Will never use or recommend this company ever again. Plus the $250 additional charge they made up and won't refund. Worse experience ever!!!

You won't find a more helpful staff. I had to extend my stay because of a family emergency and they went out of there way to help me figure everything out.

The company does not follow procedure. They did not do a walk-through with me of my vehicle prior to me signing my contract. They make you sign your contract prior to you even knowing what vehicle you’re going to be driving. The vehicle was not clean at all there were peanuts, snacks, dirt all over the vehicle, upon returning due to all of these issues. I was supposed to have this car for a week, but returned it after not even a day. They tried to still up charge for gas and made me pay for a full day still. they brought up the contract in which they make you sign the contract before you even know which vehicle you’re getting as I stated already. Very unprofessional. Highly don’t recommend.
