Lady gave me the wrong routing number for my bank. I double checked it, and there was an error versus the numbers on the online banking. She gave me back the paper and I accidentally almost used it for my job. Good thing I caught it. But this is banking, not fast food…

I first went to 5/3 after KeyBank refused to allow me to use their bathroom even though I was a "member" in good standing and they were using "my money" to make their money. In ten minutes I closed one account and put my money in 5/3 where they said the make exemptions for members.
Since then I have received the best customer service from the South Main Street Branch's "Joyce" who has been privy to my situation, offering ideas and always being helpful and keeping my interest the primary issue.
I could have changed banks and even receive a $500 promotion to open an account. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN A SERVICE.
THIS IS THE BANK TO BE IN.Bad comes with every good. The phone agents are pitiful, BUT YOU CAN CALL THE BANK DIRECTLY, and avoid the disrespectful phone agents.
While there, bring a girl or boyfriend and turn it into a romantic get-together by crossing the street and relaxing in the plaza across the street.

Tacked over $150 in charges onto my checking account for simply making payments on my car loan at Summit Federal and then refused to do anything about it. Carlos was particularly unhelpful - as he initially made the claim that SFCU was the institution to blame. He then went on to claim that the fees were being processed as "card replacement fees" which was also false, as I have used the same debit card for years. I have been a fifth third client for as long as I've had a bank account in my name, and I will be transitioning to Chase in the near future. "No hidden fees" is absolutely not true.

Although the building is well maintained and offers a more spacious layout compared to the Kent & Streetsboro branches, it is also sad. I understand the need for safety & am familiar with the area; with that being said it is depressing to have to walk through a security door before leaving & exiting the building because people in the surrounding area are trash. This side of Akron is better off...one of the nice features though is a large table available in the lounge with free coffee & snacks for customers. It is also handicap accessible (with the exception of the tellers desk) and is always kept clean. The staff here are always polite and helpful & this location is easy to get in & out of.

I closed my accounts years ago because they kept hitting me with late payment fees even though the money was in the bank. A class action case was filed and they lost. I will never do business with this bank again.

Branches are few and far in between. Going to move accounts over to the new Huntington across the street. I pass three of those branches wherever I go.
