Our daughter went into Soma today, with her husband. This was after I recommended going into an actual bra store, to be fitted properly. I went into a different store, and as we were meeting up several minutes later in the hallway of the mall, she was crying, with her husband was consoling her.
The elderly white woman that works there, had told her that “her bra size was weird” and that they couldn’t help her. This was after she chastised my black son-in-law, because she thought that he was going back into the dressing rooms. As a white woman, I do not get mistreated very often because of the color of my skin. After speaking with the woman and the way she justified her inconsiderate comment, lack of empathy and emotional intelligence, I wondered if racism was also to play in all of it. I was very clear with her that due to her lack of professionalism, and awareness that we don’t speak to anyone like that, and certainly not a woman, when YOU WORK at a bra store! I calmly confronted her, pointed out that you don’t speak that way to women when you’re giving them a bra fitting, telling them that “they’re weird.” She just stood there. She didn’t apologize. But as I was leaving the store after explaining that she had lost multiple customers this day, she found her voice finally, & I heard her say to the rest of the customers, “Oh well, we can’t help everybody.” Absolutely garish. We will never return.

Our salesperson was rude, uneducated, and pushy. The other staff members seemed much better, but I wouldn't go back.

I had a great shopping experience today with Emily, Karen, and Michelle. After some life changes the last year, I was in desperate need of some new undergarments and had no idea what size I was. I got measured and the ladies brought in a ton of options for me to try. They listened to what I liked and what I didn't like, and were knowledgeable about what may work best for me. When I started feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the choices, Emily asked if I wanted to take a break, and even offered me water. I didn't feel at all pressured or "sold to." The store was tidy and had plenty of selection. I haven't shopped for these types of items in several years and now that I've made my purchase I'm set. It was not a cheap afternoon, but I do feel that I got my money's worth. Thank you, ladies, for your help.

I had a lovely sales personTiana, she took her time and really made me feel comfortable and helped me so much! I left with a bra I love. She deserves a raise and was the best customer service I’ve seen in awhile. I could have done without her managers side comments (seemed a bit negative towards the sales associates, was nice to me and other customers but didn’t seem to treat her employees that great)but besides that a lovely visit.

Love this place. It was about time for a refitting for a bra and what a difference. I got some great fitting bras with the help of a super staff. Also got functional sexy bras too! Going back for more soon. Can't wait to get some sleep wear.
