A busy place but Jay got me in right away! They try to accommodate you as soon as possible and you should have some patience when they do. They don't have the reputation they do for nothing. They get the job done and Jay is a pleasant upbeat kinda guy. Sorta like an air traffic controler. Glad they're around!

Novel concept - mechanics with Integrity. Ross was honest and genuinely seemed to care more about his customers and the shop's reputation than making a buck. Ross went above and beyond with the service provided to me. After this experience, State Street Tire will always be my go-to shop. Thank you for the fabulous service!

I went here to fix a flat tire and was helped by Tony! I called at the last minute on a Saturday and they were able to squeeze me in within 30 mins! All the staff was extremely helpful and kind and got me in and out. They went above and beyond for me and I would recommend them to anyone for any service!

As busy as they were, they took great care of me. He found the leak in my tire, and was able to seal it. A week later my tire low pressure light came back on. He found a nail in a different tire, removed it, and plugged it. Courteous, friendly and respectful.

I have used to State Street Tire on multiple occasions for service. I don't typically write business reviews, but I felt I should take a moment to share my experiences with others. My hope in sharing, is that policies are addressed for future customers. I had the tires rotated on my vehicle. While washing my car a few days later, I noticed I was missing 2 lugs nuts on the front passenger side of my car and 2 other lugs were only finger tight! I called and they said they recommend every customer return the following day to have lugs double checked. I realize this is their policy, but it seems unreasonable to expect a customer to make a second trip to ensure what could be done correctly at the initial service. It wouldn't have taken much more for the wheel to fall off of my car. On another occasion, I dropped my car off for a brake inspection. I was told that my brakes and rotors needed to be replaced immediately. They indicated "the brake pads had less than a 'week on them' and the rotors were worn beyond spec". I decided to look into doing the job myself and upon a digital caliper inspection, I realized the brake rotors were still well within spec & the installed pads were quite thick. I ordered new OE pads only to realize the pads on the car were almost as thick as the pads! On one last occasion, I dropped the car off for an oil change during the dead of winter because I didn't want to do it myself like I usually would. Things seemed fine on this occasion until I decided to do an oil change myself yesterday. Keep in mind, I've completed about 20 oil changes while owning the vehicle and I'm very aware of the procedures. Upon getting under the car, I realized only 5 of the 7 bolts holding the skid plate were able to be removed. The bolts would just spin, but not remove. I had a mechanic friend take a look at it and he wasn't able to remove the skid plate either. I decided to cut an additional hole in the plastic skid plate to access the oil filter - easy enough. Then I tried to remove the oil drain bolt. I'm a pretty strong guy and was not able to remove it until I had to hit it the wrench about 8 times with a claw hammer - and of course they didn't use a crush washer when they serviced the vehicle. Next I got up to the element-style oil filter and the drain bolt was absolutely frozen. We tried to remove the bolt for a good 5 minutes and even with 10" of leverage added, we still were never able to break the aluminum drain bolt free. I will need to buy a new oil filter assembly to complete future oil changes. In short, it would appear that the shops' technicians are using impact air tools and severely over-tightening bolts. The skid plate, the oil drain bolt itself and also to the oil filter drain plug. I have always enjoyed doing 15 minute oil changes on my vehicle as it provides an opportunity to inspect the underside of the vehicle. I will definitely be doing my own oil changes moving forward and I will rotate my own tires. I don't want to leave a critical review, without saying at least something good about State Street Tire. There front facing staff has always seemed friendly and professional and I have zero issue with their professionalism, I am more concerned about the heavy handed questionable work and the practice of suggesting work needs to be done that clearly DOES NOT need to be done. I hope this message is helpful with staffing of the technicians in the future. Honesty and good work goes a long way.
