HES VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ACTUALLY CARES FOR HIS CUSTOMERS WHICH HONESTLY IS A RARITY ANY MORE.PLUS THE OWNER OF UHAUL (JOE ) HAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST HEARTS AND CARES SO MUCH ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS BY PERSONALLY REACHING OUT INSTEAD OF HAVING SOMEONE ELSE DO IT FOR HIM. So this is really hard to talk about. But I feel its important I open up. The store manager here at this store when I was talking to him about a rental began visibly touching himself. I acted like I did not notice even though I was extremely upset and scared. I replied fast and started making my way out when he blurted out something inappropriate about after he closes the store. I didn’t respond and left. Well within 45 seconds my phone had rang from uhauls caller id but no one was saying anything. Just breathing. I immediately hung up. This might seem like a somewhat trivial incident but for me it was horrifying.

Five days before our pickup, I made an online reservation for a 10" Truck at the Tallmadge location. When we arrived there they informed us that they don't have the 10" truck anymore but they assured us that the Odom store has it and that we'll also receive a $50 discount. When we arrived at the Odom store they told us that non of this was true and that there's no truck available for us. After almost one hour of talks with the staff, they gave us a truck for 2 and a half hours and no $50 discount. They told us that the Tallmadge store needs to give us the $50 discount, even though they are both U-Haul. It was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. And we didn't get the promised $50 discount.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Very unprofessional and rude. Didn’t try to work with me when I returned it to another uhaul place had to go all the way back to pick it up. Manager was Not understanding at all.. I will never come here again. Lesson learned.

DOESNT DESERVE A STAR WORST SERVICE I EVER HAD PAID BEFORE HAND SAT AT U-HAUL ON TALLMADGE FOR 4 hours for hitch to be installed. 5 thumbs down way down!!! Children 87 degrees first hour we sat outside I don’t know what else to say how freaking horrible!!!!

This is the slowest, most useless place I have ever been. I was also given a truck that was a total piece of junk and had problems with the gear shift and it just over all ran really bad. Can not get any help at the store. Customers always standing there waiting on someone and no employees anywhere in sight.

Well this is going to be a mixed review and a long one. So I will start from the top. I rented a truck to move from Lorain to Akron. I also rented a storage unit. The experience started off great. Customer service was pretty good. I did have an issue in the beginning paying for the unit. Their card processing was down so they could not take payments. They told me not to worry about it and they will take payment when it is working again. In the mean time, there were notices of non payment being sent to us and our alternate contacts. Once I was finally able to set up auto pay, I was charged twice. When on the phone to get the refund, I was told it would be 3-5 days to get it back. It was a mess. Once figured out, things were fine.The duration of the storage unit rental period was uneventful. The storage building was well lit and clean. I did see mouse traps set up but I never saw evidence of the presence of mice. It is an old building visting mice would be expected honestly. Access hours are convenient.When it came to moving day, I reserved the truck online for pick up in Akron and drop off in Elyria. Not once was I asked when drop off was. I went to pick up the truck. The two associates were very helpful. The woman was training the other worker so the process was a little slower than usual but I was not bothered by that. I still was not asked when drop off will be. They only confirmed the drop off location.We moved out of the storage unit first since it was right there. I made them aware that I was moving out. They told me to take pictures of the unit being empty and show them before we leave. I did so. They confirmed the move out. I asked for them to confirm that I would not be charged when the next payment would have been due (in 6 days from move out) for the storage unit. They said that I would not be charged. 6 days later, I got an email thanking me for my storage unit payment.I called right away. I was told that he noticed that morning that we moved out and issed a credit. Now, how is this true? You noticed in the morning and issed a refund but I was charged that same day in the afternoon! He lied. Anyway, he put the refund through while I was on the phone. Now I have to wait AGAIN for money that they took ou that they shouldn't have.We picked up the uhaul on a Thursday and Friday evening they were calling, wanting to know where their truck was. Now, this was the Elyria location so this does not pertain to the Akron location. The woman was kind of rude. I explained that no where in the process of setting up the rental that we talked about a drop off time. I was rudly told that it would be $40 a day extra. It is not my fault that I wasn't asked about drop off times. That was the last thing on my mind.Overall, I would say that my experience was just ok. I can't say that I won't rent a truck again or not rent a unit again but I am annoyed about some of the things I had to go through with them.

Rented a uhaul for a few hours, it was okay. Truck was hella dirty, but oh well. I'm not entirely sure I'd rent here again if I needed a truck for an entire long haul move. Customer service was nice but forgettable.

Rented a uhaul for a day to move a house in a time crunch. Paid for an appliance dolly but received a utility dolly. Couldn’t return it till the next day. Support said I could receive a free extra day on truck but when I got there they wanted to charge me fees. We agreed the dolly rental would be free. I hired extra help and moved everything in time but I was billed for everything, even the dolly I didn’t have access to the first day. The manager Monzingo was apathetic and I haven’t had a response from a letter since.

Even though I had a reservation there was no truck available for me when I showed up at the scheduled time. No resolution was offered, nothing. Just “sorry for your luck”. Ruined my move. Wasted the time of myself and all the people who had come to help me move. So much for their reservation guarantee.

We had pods that we scheduled back in March for last Friday and they cancelled them after saying they couldn't get ahold of us when we show no calls from them. We tried getting this fixed all weekend but they didn't have anyone that dealt with the pods all weekend. Now they said that they don't have any way to deliver them to us this week or pick them up next week and we move in a week. And they won't compensate us for anything even though they took no effort to contact us. If I could give zero stars I would.

Climate Control facility makes it the most excellent to store facility. I have been using U-Haul Storage since last summer. It's convenient for me to go to here in Akron.

I had my stuff here for not even two months. I go online to pay my storage unit and it says I don’t Sheba an count. I email and call and get no response. A week later I finally get through and they tell me I moved out on the 4th. (I didn’t move out I live in another state). My mom goes to check my unit and all my belongings are GONE. EVERYTHING. They even rented my unit out to another person. They have no answers for where any of my things are. I’ve been on hold for hours. I’m in the process of contacting a lawyer and talking to law enforcement. Do not EVER store your belongings here unless you want it all to be missing/ and or stolen.

Worst location ever. I don’t know who that guy is with the pony tail, smoking next to customers while they get loaded, who acts like he bought and is personally responsible for all the U-haul vehicle trailers is, but karma is coming for you bud if it hasn’t already got there. What could have been a simple transaction turned into more delays without even knowing what we have been through the past two days in just trying to get home.
