Beech Creek is a good place for all ages. It's very kid-friendly, but I think older kids will enjoy it too. One of the highlights of my visit was the butterfly pavillion. Inside, you can get a sugar water stick, and the butterflies will land on it. If you rub the sugar water from the stick onto your finger, you can get a butterfly on your finger too. They also had a small aviary with various smaller birds and a few prairie dogs. There are many beautiful flowers and gardens, as well as an obstacle course, a few playgrounds, and at one spot, you're allowed to wade in the creek. There are some trails and a pond which I didn't get the chance to see. The volunteers and employees were very nice and helpful, and all in all, my visit was very enjoyable.

Such a wonderful energy here. I had such a great time looking for different butterflies and caterpillars. Sitting with the Birds and watching them eat seeds or fly by my face was so interactive and made me feel like a kid again, the trails are great need to set aside more time for my next visit..I loved everything about it. You can spend all day here,with a packed lunch.

It's a nice small park. The raptor show is good, BUT check for showings. Visiting the butterfly exhibit is a must too, make sure to double check when this exhibit is available def SEASONAL.
It's an okay one off but IMHO, it is over priced. There is maybe 5 hours worth of activities.
Near by, I would suggest Houston-Brumbaugh Nature Center for an easy/moderate hiking experience. There is a well used but available restroom. It also features a nice/information nature center with restrooms in the afternoon on weekends. This is within 15 mins of Beech Creek to make a full day if you have a distance to drive like I did.

Absolutely amazing, the bird show is worth the price of admission itself, all the staff are super friendly and helpful and me, my wife and 5 month old child really enjoyed the experience, will be back again

This place was a lot more than expected. The butterfly sanctuary is awesome and they have feed sticks so you can feed the butterflies and hold them. They have an awesome bird show and a cool aviary with birds walking around. They have lots of trails and fun playground areas for kids. There are tons of interactive exhibits. It was a cool place to walk around.

It brings kids back to nature! Everything is made from nature!! If your looking to disconnect your kids, this is the perfect place to do that!

What a great experience. We spent the whole day here since it was an hour away from home. Just so great for our almost 5yo son. We will return before the summer is over!
I absolutely loved all the owls, birds. Butterflies and turtles.

Great little place to visit. They have so many beautiful butterflies. We were able to ask questions and learn a bit too! I will say the prairie dogs tugged at my heart strings. I know they are affectionate animals but the girl would run along the edge trying to get out and reach up to you like she wanted out. The fox also looked a little sad but everything is very well kept. The flying raptor show was really neat as well.

Wow I loved bringing my kids here. I just looked up the price to take my grandkids and it has crippled in the last 5 years. No thanks. That's really sad.
