We bought tickets 3 weeks ahead of time and had the day planned. We went this past Friday and specifically wanted our granddaughter to see Santa. The lights were great, but Santa was not even there! We were there just shortly after they opened. We asked others who got to the Santa workshop before us, and they said they didn't see him either. So we were disappointed with that since that was important for us with our new granddaughter.

Natures A-glow was amazing. The grounds are loaded with Christmas lights. The lights synchronized to a Trans Siberian Orchestra song was tops! Definitely recommended this for families with children.

Lovely place that is mostly handicapped accessible, but lots of dirt paths and walking which is hard for younger visitors. Lots of hands on learning with different activities, all spread out on a large reserve. Be prepared for lots of walking which was hard for our younger kids. Their favorite was the zip line, and we also had lunch by the stream and got to hold butterflies on sugar sticks! Lovely place to visit in NE Ohio!!

A wonderful nature center! Cost is $13 per person. I especially loved the butterfly house! Enjoyed the caterpillar house as well, where you could see caterpillars and crystalysts as they go through metamorphosis. There are several wooded trails and a few nice outdoor play areas for children. I was disappointed that they were cleaning many of the enclosures in the raptor center while we were there, so we didn't have the opportunity to view most of them. But the animals and birds that we DID see were very interesting! There is a small greenhouse with various plants and a turtle exhibit. Interactive exhibits included fossil identification and animal track identification. If you want to take your time and enjoy the exhibits and trails, give yourself at least 2 hours. I could have easily spent 1/2 day here but I just didn't have that much time. There are also special educational talks on various dates ( I missed out on that too, sadly). The staff members were very friendly! Enjoyable place to visit for all ages, but if you have young children it will be an especially fun time!

Took our 5 and 7 year old daughters there to see the butterflies.Turns out there was so much more amazing stuff to see and do.The birds of prey show was super fun, as was the playground and so much more. The girls are already asking when we’re going back. Highly recommended for families and grown-ups alike.

Just held my drive-by graduation party there this past weekend and loved it. It's such a beautiful place with so many things to do!Update: Went to the butterfly release (rather anticlimactic) and walked around for a bit. Beautiful place and it's super kid-friendly!

I live in boardman and wanted to take my soon to be 2 year old to a butterfly house to teach her how to say...butterfly when she sees one and we'll it's pretty amazing for her. I found this place on my Google maps. And I couldn't of been happier! It was way better then put in bays. Or any I've ever been to. The have caterpillars out in the house with the butterflies and sooo much more, the have more animals a we didn't have time to see the foxes and owls in the other part. But its privately funded and I definitely say this place is a A+ and Im a blippi mom that goes every place fun for kids.

The grounds of this garden/nature center were well planned and maintained. There were many activities for children as well as learning opportunities for adults. My husband and I visited primarily for the butterfly and host plant information but thoroughly enjoyed the raptor exhibit as well - will return again!
