Sauder Village is Ohio's largest living-history destination, a memorable place to explore, stay, eat, shop, and have fun. It is a great place to visit for a nice trip or a fun day. Guests can have fun in the past at the Historic Village, walking through time in Ohio from 1803 through the 1920s. They visit with costumed guides and working craftsmen in historic homes, community shops, farms, and gardens. Exploring Ohio’s historic past is educational and a fun experience for all ages, with lots to see and do. It is fun for groups, families, and kids. The venue is clean with easy access, and the friendly, well-versed staff are helpful. Many buildings have stroller-friendly ramps, and there is a nursing room and family restrooms. Special events include vintage baseball games and homeschool days. The on-site Barn Restaurant is delicious, and guests can grab ice cream from the old fashioned soda fountain or visit the quilt shop. There is also fresh stoneground corn available. Note: The Historic Village is closed for the season and reopens April 29, 2026. The Barn Restaurant, Doughbox Bakery, and Heritage Inn remain open. The office is open year-round.

Great historical village. Very knowledgeable employees and love that they have a training program for teens to keep the place alive. It is a beautiful setting. Love the 1920's town and the pioneer village. Kids loved the Little Pioneer's play village.
