“For a budget motel, it was overall pretty good. Though our room was a non-smoking room, it still had some kind of rough odor. The office gave us some spray that helped a little, but every time we left for a while and came back, we could smell it again for a while until we got used to it.

The closet space was virtually none, with just a couple rods sticking from the wall and a couple shelves attached just below it. It would work for two or three people, but we had a full room. The beds were very comfortable, and when we needed extra towels and blankets, they provided them.

The worst thing about it is the light that came through the windows at night, lighting up the whole room. This is not a hotel or motel that is dark at night. This is the first motel I've been to that did not have Kleenex or tissues, which we made toilet paper with just fine.

The first day there was no room service at all, but we did request it the next day and they did provide it. Not sure if it's always needed to be requested or not.

We loved the Ashland community, and we did feel fairly safe, though most of the time there were people outside their doors, literally one step away, smoking cigarettes, which would waft into our room as well. The shower was high pressure. The air conditioner worked good. And the price was awesome. So overall, we were happy.”

“The lobby room was very clean although the bathroom there which is also the breakfast area bathroom smelled strongly of urine. The breakfast was only cereal, milk, apples, packaged muffins, apple juice, coffee, tea. The room was well cleaned and no bugs!!! Worth staying there just for that aspect. We got a lower level room and it was a little moldy smelling but we don't regret staying there because the price was the best we could find, location was great. Again, the room was very clean despite being a bit old. The mini fridge was a good size and very clean.”
