Run down and dirty parking lot. A few nice employees, but others seem to hate working there. One employee is always outside talking with The River People. Good price on my cigarettes though and open 24/7. It's a win/lose.

July 2021, recently added a self checkout, but it seems to take more time than an employee checkout. Management responded by scheduling fewer checkout employees. But those employees that you do interact with are always pleasant and helpful.

Bought cigarettes from here and asked for specific cigarettes got a kind that I don’t smoke. They screwed up and I spent money to be told that they couldn’t make it right. I refuse to pay extra money for an employee’s mess up.

Tonight.. 3 customers with no masks, 6 customers with masks on their chin, and a cashier not wearing a mask. And I witnessed an armed altercation in the parking lot - but at least they were wearing masks.

I tried to call the store directly a few times (To commend the staff) but it was during a very busy time, so no one picked up. But I just wanted to say that I happened to be pumping gas when a significantly VERY OBVIOUSLY mentally-ill woman from the community was being harassed and bullied by a car load of 3-4 people who swore at her, laughed at her and then drove away honking and hanging out the windows of the car shouting as they pulled away.This triggered the woman who began swearing and kicking parking poles and spouting off angrily.The reason I am leaving this review is this:2 female Circle K employees came outside and talked to her. One hugged her. They were empathetic, kind, and helped diffuse the situation. I am a special education teacher and the mentally ill in our community are just that: OUR COMMUNITY. We need to embrace them and show empathy toward them the way those 2 amazing CIRCLE K employees did.I don’t think those girls know what talent and intuition they displayed, but if I knew their names I would tell the owner to promote them. It was so amazing to see those girls. I wish I knew who these mystery workers were! They deserve a promotion and a raise! They are truly great employees and if every circle k had employees like them it would be even more successful. Thank you. P.s.In the spirit of figuring out who they are so they can know how awesome they are, I want to say that it was 1/14/2021 at approximately 3:30pm. Thank you girls and bcuz of that I will be getting gas at this gas station ONLY now.

I am reviewing the Ashtabula Harbor area store at 917 Lake Avenue. I have frequented the Harbor Circle K, as well as several others nearby, for many years. The new, much larger store added recently has been nothing but a mess. It is common knowledge among anyone who has been there that you're not getting out quickly. The store employees are the laziest, most miserable group of human beings I have ever encountered. They act like they absolutely hate their jobs, and a customer's presence is a nuisance to them. They talk amongst themselves while one person (slowly) works at one register even with a line wrapping around the store. Their explanation, when someone complained rather loudly one afternoon after nearly 15 minutes in line, was that only certain employees can do register. While that makes sense, I have routinely witnessed employees who have definitely been on register before just standing there refusing to even look at the growing crowd entering the store. And, in those circumstances, if someone has to open a register, I have seen them fling the closed sign aside or roll their eyes or just act completely put out by the bother of having to actually, gee, work at their job!

Very nice since it's new. Good to have a gas station in this area too. Can't beat the fountain drink prices.
