Small old time motel which cost about $100 per night after tax. Bedding clean and easy walk ability to sheetz and some nearby food options. Felt safe and secure. Fridge in room and ac unit.

What a quaint, well maintained motel! The room was clean and comfortable. The little window unit a/c was a great source of white noise to keep the "new bed" issues from being a problem. The man at check in was friendly and helpful. You can tell that this motel is loved by its owners and a source of pride. Well done!

Great place to stay! Comfy beds,clean room and great staff here! Close to the beach n things to do. I highly recommend this place,can't say enough about our great stay there!

We could not find anywhere to stay while passing through town on a Friday night and this place had rooms and the price was far less than name brand hotels. The rooms are outdated, but the sheets were clean, the beds were comfy, and I slept the best I have in a few days. Walking distance to a few restaurants.

Plastic over the windows next to the bed, barely taped down. VERY HOT water , so the shower was nice!

I could write pages about the excellent service here.We were pulling a pontoon boat & owner guided us backing it, securing it, & making sure it was safe.Gave us restaurant recommendations & followed up on our experience.In AM we discovered a broken tie down & owner helped fix this and GAVE us an extra ratchet strap!I’m not even mentioning all the good conversations.Room was spotless & cozy.Rooms: Very clean, cute & comfortable.Nearby activities: Restaurants near. Seems to be close to Lake Erie but we didn’t go.Safety: Lighted parking, owners watchful, safe area of townWalkability: Could walk next door to Macdonald’s across the street to coffee down the street to pizza

Called and made reservations on July 15 for the following sat July 17. Got into town at check-in time, was told we had no reservations. Produced our confirmation number and still got argued with. Finally got our 2 rooms. A week later got charged yet again. Woman refuses to resolve the matter.

We frequently visit the Ashtabula area and stay the night often. We called ahead to reserve the room and the guy that answered the phone took down all my information and said we were good to go. Everything appeared to be smooth sailing. Wasn't until we got there that changed. The lady at the desk (who identified herself as the owner) was extremely rude. She gave our room to someone else! She claimed there was a problem with my information and blamed us for a mistake HER employee made! Didn't even have the courtesy to notify us of the mistake! I went across the street notified the clerk of the situation and gave us room there NO PROBLEM! In my eyes the clerk at Economy Inn saved my weekend. I will be going up there again this weekend and definitely WILL NOT be booking a reservation with Edge O town motel EVER AGAIN! Economy Inn will be getting my business from here on out. They were wonderful!
