“The better question would be: “What isn’t there to love about The Goddard School in Canal?” This place has been a part of our lives for almost 5yrs now. They aren’t staff, they are family. Heather and Barb are truly amazing, and the same could be said for the entire staff! We relocated here from another well known daycare close by. Our son was around 3yrs old when we pulled him from his previous daycare because of a horrible event that happened there. We were scared, we were nervous taking him away from his buddies and making him “start all over” again in an unfamiliar place. Little did we know, Heather would be godsend for us and helped us through every step with all the unknowns. It took our son a bit to adjust, but if It weren’t for the loving and caring staff, he never would’ve gotten over his fears. We have referred so many people here and talked a lot of our friends into pulling their kids from the other daycare and enrolling them at Goddard in Canal. All of them were so thankful that they did! Our son is coming to end for 2nd grade and we still do the before and after program, as well as their AMAZING summer camp program. I can’t say enough about this location! Yes, it’s a national “daycare chain,” but not once has it ever felt like an institution like other national daycare chains do. This place felt accepting, warm, kid friendly and positive from the second we stepped into this location 5yrs ago, and those feelings have never changed!

“Absolutely wonderful staff here. My daughter attends and they have been great with her. The communication and involvement with her and us as a family has been awesome. She is a 5 year old type 1 diabetic and has a celiac gluten allergy, and the staff has done great with managing it. They have a dedicated gluten-free menu for celiac kids, and a great nursing staff. The teachers and assistants are also heavily involved and monitor her health issues every step of the way. The curriculum has promoted growth and maturity for my daughter at a pace I never expected. We're blessed to have a program like this in our city!”

“This childcare center is amazing and for others to trash it makes me sad. My child was actually in a classroom and witnessed the HORRIBLE acts and words from the lady saying she couldn’t pick up her child (the comment above). The administrators and teachers job is to protect the children in the center.. so of course they aren’t going to let someone who is yelling and cussing go through the center. My child came home and we had a long conversation about it. Thank you to the school age teachers and administrators who acted quickly to protect my baby from this poor behavior (cussing and yelling). We love this center and have been going there for nine years! I have never had any type of miscommunication, they are always prompt when something is going on. My child also had Ms.Melisa and she is one of our favorite teachers. Thank you Patty and Erica for everything you have done for us over the years.”
