October 2023 by Madison Crocker
During the 2022 and 2023 school years my son attended Head Start. Towards the end of the 2023 school year, one of the teachers that had been there for years had left. After wards, there were lots of substitute teachers, days they cancelled school, and seemed to be high turn over. Many of the substitute teachers were not nice, polite or should have been working with children. And when they cancelled school it would often be at 8am when school began at 9am. That makes it almost impossible to get a sitter for work on that short of notice. On days they canceled school they wanted parents to do online classes through Zoom with their children. They have many unnecessary rules, they want to come to your home several times per school year. Overall it was not the best experience, it seemed like the best choice at the time. Although my son did learn, and get use to the school experience which was nice. This school year my son is in kindergarten and loves it, school is much better now.
