I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I feel like this needs to be said so others don’t go through the same thing.
I came in for a blonde-with-black-underneath look and initially thought it turned out okay. But after styling it at home for a few weeks, something just kept looking off when I styled my hair. I recently had another professional take a closer look, and unfortunately, it turns out my hair was done very poorly.
There are several areas of banding—which, for those who don’t know, is when color overlaps unevenly in sections and creates obvious stripes or lines in the hair. It usually happens when dye isn’t applied or processed correctly, and it’s very noticeable when the hair grows out or is styled. That should never happen in a professional setting.
My bangs were dyed jet black, way darker and heavier than the inspiration photo I showed, which had a softer, more blended look. The harsh, thick black bangs are unflattering and nothing like what I asked for. It makes my whole face look off, and now I’m stuck with it.
There are also random patches in the blonde sections, especially on the top and underneath. The dye job is extremely uneven, and now that it’s grown out a little, it’s even more obvious. The contrast could have been really cool—but the execution was rushed and messy.
Now I’m stuck spending hundreds of dollars to get it fixed or to just live with it. I wouldn’t recommend this salon for color work, especially if you’re doing anything with contrast or bold tones. It’s just not worth the money or the stress of needing a full correction

Absolutely great workers. Kelly and Lauren very friendly and do very great work. Just got pink added into my blonde hair and I was blown away! Exactly what I asked for. Best salon in town in my personal experience.

Absolutely great workers. Jackie and Lauren very friendly and do very great work. Jackie was able to get brownish red box dye into a very cute sandy blonde in one session. Lauren took it to a white blonde a few months later. Hair is in great shape because of them! I suggest this place to all my ladies!Services: Shampoo & conditioning

Laurie, the owner, is meticulous. I have bounced around during the 20 + years I've lived in Athens. All the stylists I came across didn't get my very fine hair. When I first went to Laurie, I felt a little inconsistency but I think that was my hair. She has created a hairstyle that I love and has given me more confidence. And, she's fun to talk with.
