I visited today and to be fair, I was wearing a long anime jacket and flower backpack at the spice jar section for a while. I was having difficultly understanding the amounts even with the instructions on the sign and felt slightly embarrassed to ask for more help/like I was doing it wrong. I have memory issues. I had multiple secret shoppers following me around which is totally fine, like I get it . College students likely steal from there all the time. So loss prevention has to do their job.
It did give me pretty bad anxiety when all 3 mean came to chat while I was checking out?
Some local places have to be expensive and I understand that, it costs a lot of money to import products like they do. On the other hand, if you know what to buy from there it’s super cheap!!
I do love kindred market and if I won a thousand, million, billion, dollars x3 I would buy from there everyday. I love kindred. Next time I come I will wear different clothing/leave backpack at the front of the store.

Cannot get enough of this store. The selection is amazing healthy and organic. The staff is very kinda and helpful. The daily soup is so good makes me come back a lot. Recommend grabbing a banana water there too, surprisingly good.

Is it silly to have a favorite grocery store?? Lol. I like up in central Ohio but whenever I make a weekend trip to Athens I ALWAYS stop by. It is my favorite grocery store on this planet. It’s super packed with awesome goodies and make sure you bring ur jars because there is an actual CRAZY amount of bulk goodies!

This shop was so nice and so many options. I was really sad to hear that the Farmacy had closed, but this shop was quite impressive and had all the selections of things I normally got at the Farmacy. It was very clean and the prices were reasonable.

This grocery store gives me hope. It sets the standard for what mindful consumption, healthy lifestyles, and sustainable practices can look like. It's not overwhelmingly large - it is human centered. It is real and rooted in kindness; things that are all too often lost in modern businesses.

Kindred Market has an excellent selection of nonalcoholic beverages and vegan snackies! The atmosphere is also very nice and shelves are well organized. If you’re trying to eat well or in need of some awesome socks, make sure to stop here!

This amazing store only stocks non-gmo
Knowledgeable friendly staff, local grown foods. Bulk foods, local art AND a delicious deli.

Excellent local and health focused place to shop. Unfortunately the manager known as Ashley seems to always be angry and has the workers on edge when she's around. If the workers ever seem unfriendly, it's probably because of her!
