How many customer service agents does it take to measure your standard typical lampshade that you brought with you in to the store to replace, and ask them to find out if 1.) they have one this size in stock, or 2.) they can order for you online? I don’t know the answer to this riddle, because I finally had to leave and go somewhere else to get help, but I can tell you that three H.D. customer service agents and 32 minutes of time is not enough.
You see, after a half an hour the third perplexed agent called over ANOTHER (yes, a fourth) customer service agent who sent me over to the “lamp shade isle” again - where there were still, of course, no lampshades. “Really? Are you sure?” (Yes! I’ve been there twice already!) That’s zero lamp shades on the lamp shade isle that customer service agent(s) keep telling me to walk over to because they can’t find this standard lamp shade online. So then of course an agent sees there’s no lamp shades in stock and tells me to look on line. I say let’s try on your CUSTOMER SERVICE computer. And they can’t figure out how to 1.) measure my shade and 2.) search by dimensions. I watched this. In utter disbelief, over and over. An infinite cycle of incompetence. Then I measure my shade FOR them. Still no luck.
So, now I am leaving Home Depot in Aurora, and I’m heading over to Target to replace my standard drum shaped lampshade that size 12” x 15”

The workers are kind & helpful for finding what I need. The Pro cashier lady I believe needs retrained or needs replaced somewhere else..I'm always kind & respectful to her but she has an attitude towards me & I don't appreciate it..I tell her have a good day all the time & get no response back with her eyes just staring at me like I'm a menace to society...

I would like to give Terry a special shoutout. It’s was my birthday Memorial Day weekend and I was looking for a new charcoal grill to cook on for my family . Terry ,in gardening ,went above and beyond to help me find one that’s was in a box . Unfortunately it was no where to be found.
I ended up getting the display model and he even took it down for me with no help or push back. He’s a very kind, patient, and overall good human being. The world could use more people like Terry. Thank you so much for your help.

Due to foot surgery, I was driving one of the Aurora HD’s electric carts to pick up some electrical outlet faceplates. Without asking for help, Mia came over, kindly offered her assistance, and helped my husband and I find all we needed, as well as check stock for more. You have a gem of an employee.

First off, let me be clear it’s better than Lowe’s. We already know this. My brother has a crippling addiction to the store and he will never stop coming here so if you happen to see a strange man wandering by the 2 x 4 is complaining about rim joists or walking around Ryobi waiting for Ryobi days to start please do not hesitate to ask him why he believes in Home Depot.

I recently had such a great experience at the Pro Desk with Kim L. in Bainbridge HD. Not only did she answer all of my questions, she advised on a better product than the one I had already decided to purchase. Such a pleasure to work with her after terrible experiences at some of the other home improvement stores in the area. Great job Kim, and I'll be back soon for my other projects !!!
