Our experience at Next Level has been nothing short of fantastic. The atmosphere is welcoming to all ages and skill levels, and very family oriented. If you're thinking about martial arts for yourself or a child, do yourself a favor and contact Next Level!

I’ve been taking BJJ classes at Next Level for close to a year now and I’m so happy I decided to give it a try! I didn’t have any experience prior to coming to Next Level, but I’ve learned so much and feel like I could adequately defend myself if I ever had to. Joining Next Level is like joining a family-the environment is so welcoming and everyone is kind and supportive. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I couldn't be happier with our 13 year old son's development at Next Level Martial Arts Academy! He really enjoys the challenge of each class and it has greatly enhanced his confidence and character. All the coaches and staff are patient, nurturing, and very knowledgeable. Special thanks to coaches George, James, and manager Lisa. They've created a wonderful environment full of support and enthusiasm for all ages to enjoy. I highly recommend this program!!

I've been a martial artist since I was Four. Studied various arts from a variety of instructors.I've been through the good, the bad, and the ugly.Next Level is definitely one of the best!Fantastic instruction in two different arts that compliment each other flawlessly.Great place for young ones, too! The instructors are very accommodating and strive for excellence; while providing a comfortable and positive learning environment for new and experienced artists alike!I left the area for my career, but I think of my experiences at this academy everyday!!Stop in! You won't regret it!!CAUTION: ADDICTING!!

We took our 11 year old son here starting last fall because he was being bullied so badly in school. Next Level has taught him skills that he can USE if something were to happen to him. The coaches are patient and great with kids, even high spirited ones like mine :)You can tell that they truly care about the kids learning things correctly, and they DO NOT like bullies. I'm so happy we brought our son there!

We love Next Level Martial Arts. My son joined over a year ago and we just renewed our second year. The coaches are fantastic and patient. They not only are teaching him how to defend himself, he is learning focus, which is one of our major problems. He loves going to class and making friends.

This academy has created a laidback environment of no attitude and no judgment. Whether a competitive athlete or a recreational enthusiast, there’s a place for you. All levels of conditioning, experience, and skill are present and welcomed. Instructors are not only highly skilled, but also know how to convey their knowledge in a patient and fun manner. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to learn effective martial arts.

When you join Next Level you’re not just joining a martial arts academy, you are joining a family. The moment I stepped into the academy for the first time and every moment in between I have always felt welcomed and like I belonged. As someone who was completely new to the world of mixed martial arts I didn’t know what to expect or what to look for when searching for a place to train. What caught my attention about next level is their kids program. I’m a nanny of a energetic 5 year old boy with autism. I was looking to find something to help him get some of that energy out in a healthy way. His mom signed him up and sent me a video of him at his trial class. Although he was screaming and crying throughout the class the instructors patience and kindness never wavered. I felt compelled to sign up for myself after seeing how good they were with kids, especially with special needs. That example of kindness is extended to everyone in the academy, not just children. Whether you are looking for a place for yourself to train, your kids, or your whole family, Next Level Mixed Martial Arts Academy will welcome you with open arms and work to help you reach whatever goals you may have as you set out on your martial arts journey!Hannah.

Next Level isn’t just any other martial arts gym. The coaches are top notch. The training is professional. Becoming part of next level is joining a group of people that treat you like family. My son and I attended for years and it was a life changing experience.

We love Next Level Martial Arts! My son and I joined together for the BJJ class and have loved every minute. Great staff, strong work ethic with a very welcoming feel. This place has pushed us to grow and set goals in our jujitsu journey. We started with zero experience and so can you. Come check it out.

Best place to go for martial arts. Coach James is the best coach for kids and adults. He will take the time and show you each movement properly and accurately. Go here 100%. The atmosphere is so comfortable for new comers and extremely family oriented for all. Go here!!!

One of the finest martial arts academies I have ever attended. Professional, dedicated and superbly qualified instructors who are truly committed to every student. Genuine "family" atmosphere for the novice or professional martial artist.

I have been training sporadically at Next Level Martial Arts Academy in Austintown for 4 or 5 years now. I have recently joined full time. I have known James Terlecki for probably 13 years now. I first met James at church. I enjoy the large garage door that's open when it's nice outside. There's usually a lot of mat space. There's also chairs for spectators. I hope to get my brown and black belt from James. Hopefully this review was helpful.

I’ve attended Next Level on two occasions. Once for kickboxing and jiu jitsu and another for jiu jitsu specifically. The first experience I was 18-19 years old and had no prior experience. I was welcomed by everyone and people were willing to work with me and let me “use them” as a sparring dummy to develop the basics. Everyone left their ego at the door and made for a very challenging and rewarding experience. I stopped going because I moved out of state but upon moving back I signed up the second time. This time age 29 and my experience was the same. I was met with an inclusive and challenging environment and sparred/rolled with everyone I could. Gender, age, experience didn’t matter because everyone had something to teach and something to learn. The coaches were patient when teaching drills and offered one on one support to help you get a genuine understanding of what was being taught. If you still didn’t get it, they would offer additional instruction while everyone else sparred. Sparring isn’t mandatory but if you really wanna develop your skills sparring is entirely necessary. You will learn how to remain calm under stressful situations, get in the best shape of your life, make life long friends that extend beyond the academy, and be able to compete in combat sports to scratch that competitive itch. Also, I managed to lose 40 pounds in about 6 months so that was a plus lol if you’re considering joining, reach out and give it a try. You won’t regret it
