Had a really good experience here. The doctor was friendly and the assistant was awesome! My eye exam was quick and efficient. Lots of glasses to choose from, I even got a pair of prescription sunglasses for a great price! The assistant was so helpful and patient with me while I was picking out my glasses. I recommend and will definitely be back!

The actual doctor is fantastic and super sweet. The assistants really aren’t. When I went to make my appointment, the woman was insanely condescending to me and immediately asked if I had insurance in a way that seemed like she doubted I did. When I told her which one she didn’t say anything. So after a moment I said, “have you heard of it?” and she just nodded with this sour look on her face before going to schedule me. She kept being condescending to me the entire time, scheduled me for a day that week (she’d said this herself), but then told me the wrong date. When I asked if my appointment was that week or on the date she just gave me (which was the following week), she got sour again and went “do you WANT a day this week?” when she’d literally just said it was for that week maybe 30 seconds before. I was made to feel like an idiot the entire time I was speaking with her. Then I got a call a few days later by a different woman explaining that the first lady didn’t tell me that they didn’t take my insurance, so I cancelled my appointment and at the end of the call I was trying to thank her and tell her to have a good day but she rushed me and hung up on me before I could even get the words out. I’ve gone here before and the doctor is soooo awesome which is the only reason I’m giving a second star. I couldn’t believe how badly the one woman treated me when I was trying to schedule the appointment. I won’t ever go back.

Dr. Jacques Bataille was by far one of the most patient, soft spoken, kindest Dr's. I have ever had. His commitment to finding me the right contact fit was so appreciated. I wear bifocal glasses, so I need multifocal contact lenses, and well, let's just say it is not easy to find the right fit. I had to return 3 different times, trying on many different lenses to no prevail. He never got inpatient or gave up on me. He stayed committed until we finally found the right fit! I am forever grateful for him and will continue to return to him for all of my future appointments.

Very rude. I called ahead on the day of my appointment to verify the time because I never received an email or text confirmation. The woman who answered was very snippy and told me to "check again because I KNOW you got a text" then refused to tell me the time until I triple checked my texts. She eventually told me the time than abruptly hung up without another word. terrible customer service.

Employees at this facility are rude and possess no customer service skills. They act like they're annoyed from the moment you walk in. Walmart management should better evaluate these Employees.

The last 2 times I've been there, the lady who waited on us was very rude. We were to check in for my wife's appointment and she made us feel like we were interrupting something important. I just talked to the same lady on the phone today to schedule my appointment, and she kept cutting me off and wouldnt let me ask a question. I pointed out what she was doing and she said, "I have a line of people." No apology, never asked me what I wanted to ask...just, "I have a line of people." Done with that place.

I went to Walmart to get my glasses ordered. I originally had my vision tested elsewhere and I had a prescription for my glasses. They were very kind, helpful, and didn't try to get me to pay an outrageous price for my glasses and helped direct me towards the ones that I could afford and would nicely fit my face.The glasses aren't the best quality, but that's on me for not wanting to spend more.

As far as the appointment itself went, it wasn’t horrible. The wait time to see the doctor wasn’t very long at all. However, I cannot give them a full five stars. I asked how long it would take my glasses to come in and they told me it would take 7-10 business days and not to come in until they call me. My glasses ETA was 10/05/2021. The fifth came and went and I got no phone call. THREE WEEKS PASS not a couple days. THREE FREAKING WEEKS. I get tired of waiting so I call to find out if they can track them. My glasses had been there since 10/02/2021. They verified that they had the right phone number, and they did. All the lady told me was “well they were checked in on the second but it says they never called so they must have forgotten.” If I had forgotten to do my job people wouldn’t have functioning cars. Maybe next time I’ll just forget to pay them. Absolutely ridiculous, I wouldn't recommend this vision center. Find a better, more productive one.

My experience at Walmart Austintown Vision Center was great. Dr. Bataille is knowledgeable and thorough and the opticians in the front were very helpful. I had to pay for my eye exam because the Dr doesn't accept my vision insurance, which is his right to do. I paid upfront (one other reviewer was irritated by this?) just like you pay your co-pay at your PCPs office. I had no problem with it. They have a wide variety of frames to choose from, too. I give them an "A."

I have been going to vision center for over 20 year's. My vision is bad and i lost a contact lens. They said they couldn't help me, i was due for appointment, of course they couldn't help me with that either. Will be looking for some place to go. Very disappointed let some one who's been a patient for over 20 years ho with out help.
