Some of Menards supplies are good. Not their stainless hardware though. It is a low grade magnetic stainless that rust. I bought some 1/4 -20 screws that were stainless. Very disappointed they rusted . Went and got same 1/4-20 stainless screws from Lowe's non magnetic no rust.

Most of my experience with this store was okay until I ended up buying fencing materials from Menards. I couldn't install the fence myself & Menards doesn't have any reliable contractor like HomeDepot or Lowes. All contractors are third parties and Menards take no responsibility. My fencing project didn't work out & I have to return the material & ended up with $2000 Menards cash.Returns with Menards cash is extremely difficult if one doesn't keep the receipt. I bought 12 solar path lights and somehow missed base rod for one light. I didn't have the receipt so neither I could return the material nor they allow to take the base rod as the cashier/manger wanted the receipt & wanted to check the security camera for a missing piece of a $3 item.I don't have the time to deal with the hassle for $3 but once I am done with Menards cash, I am not going back to this store as I have not experienced zero liability for contractor & return hassle at Home Depot or Lowes.

They could learn a lot from Lowes and Home Depot. Returns are difficult. Why can't you just use the card it was purchased on like Lowe's and Home Depot? Online purchase pick up is a joke. Show barcodes 3 times. Why not just once and receive a receipt like Lowe's and Home Depot. You'd save money if you'd streamline that. Some prices are amazing and some are outrageous. 2 ⭐ for the amazing prices. Customer service here is terrible and you're lucky if you can find someone when you need it. Almost no one in the garden center to help. Dealing with the rebate is also a pain, do something online so we're not using USPS. Lowes, by far, has the best customer service and average prices. Home Depot usually has the best selection. Get with the program, it's 2023.

I went there at 9:30 PM to purchase a stove due to our Samsung going bad. I purchased their Whirlpool for $600.00 to find out after getting home that the stove also needed a power cord which is purchased separately. They had a sales rep who worked appliances there who did not inform me of this and who should have known. The reason we went late is that this all just happened and being that we work our children need the use of a stove while we are at work. We now have to wait another day to do this. Moreover, I had to figure this out using YouTube whereas this should have been explained (this is the first electric stove I’ve purchased that does not come with a power cord).

The car battery that I purchased from Menards failed within the 36 month warranty. When I returned it, I expected a run around. What I got was Linda who did everything possible to make this a good experience. Fifteen minutes later I was on my way home with the new battery. Menards keeps their promises.

So been dealing with Menards for a while now and all in all thought they were a pretty decent place to get materials from for my remodeling business until yesterday when I decided to use their app to purchase $2600 in lumber in which it indicated that was all in stock at the Avon location so I submit my order receive a confirmation, then proceed to go rent a truck to haul all the lumber to the job site since it was such a big order and didn't wanna have to make several trips in my truck. But upon my arrival to the Avon Menards, I am informed that my order is not showing in their system yet it is showing confirmed on the app and on their website and has been taken out of my account. After speaking with management, I am given the runaround and end up having to leave more confused than I was on my arrival. And here it is a day later and they still have no information for me yet they are holding $2600 of mine and nobody has any answers for me at this point I feel robbed we're not talking about a couple hundred bucks here and this is not my first big purchase from them probably spent upwards of $45,000 in the last six months not to mention that material was needed for a job that we were already working And has now been pushed back a few days not to mention who knows when this is going to be resolved. Also managers give me attitude and act like they're annoyed with me coming up there several times and then constantly then not returning my phone call. I'm sure they wouldn't be very happy if they paid $2600+ dollars for something they needed that day, and I just held it in limbo and gave them no answers whatsoever as to why. They did however send me this email telling me it would be 12 hours yet that was yesterday at 4:45 and it's almost 24 hours later. I definitely will not be going there for big purchases anymore. Use 84 lumber or Home Depot.

The holy grail of home improvement stores.-2 stars for online pickups. Can't pass through security without order number, but no ID check to actually receive the item. Won't print a receipt at the store, so it makes rebate redemption confusing. The clerk said I would receive an email about rebate details, but I didn't. This is a weirdly complicated system, but for what purpose? Are you trying to discourage your customers from ordering online for store pick-up? That's certainly what it feels like.

I've been using Menards for 2 decades now, in IN and now OH, but I have to say, Tom at Avon is awesome to work with. He communicates well on orders and is so very knowledgeable about materials and guiding customers on hope to use the software for special orders, and he's just an overall great guy.

Do not buy the Hoover windtunnel technology 2 vacuum from menards!! The vacuum pictured on the box is not the vacuum that's in the box!! The vacuum on the box clearly states that it is windtunnel 2 technology, the vacuum in the box doesn't say that anywhere, only says windtunnel....I want what I payed for, which is why I purchased this vacuum....I don't want to buy something and have be a totally different product in the box! Plus the girls at the return counter treated me like I was crazy, saying the vacuum was the same vacuum on box...but whatever, I returned it anyway.....going to Lowes!!

Great selection for a home improvement store. Whenever I have problems finding an item I always visit this store launch they have such a wide selection. Especially in the lighting section. We were able to look at flooring, paint and kitchen options all in one trip.

My husband and I went to Menards this evening to fix a light fixture, we ask for help from Katie in the lights department and she was absolutely wonderful!! She explained everything! We came home and did exactly what she told us and it was perfect!! Thank you so very much! You are the bomb!!! Look for Katie for all your Lighting needs. Highly recommended⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
