My 2 daughters are beginner gymnasts who’ve been attending this studio the last few months. We’ve tried out other local studios but are especially pleased with the quality of trainers and coaches here, as well as how the sessions are run (a rotating focus on different elements/apparatus). The coaches challenge and motivate the kids whilst continually keeping an eye on safety (whether the cushions are properly aligned, equipment positioning, verbal feedback & communication with each other). I also appreciate that they encourage students to wash their hands before starting each class. Lastly, the month to month pricing system takes into account holidays so you don’t need to worry about make up lessons and such. Maureen is super responsive per email and runs a solid program for gymnasts of all levels (team levels too). I have no affiliations with anyone in this gym, am just a really pleased parent with how my children are developing their gymnastic skills and confidence.

What a disappointing experience! Enrolling our 4-year-old daughter at this gymnastics place turned out to be a pure waste of time and money. The lack of structure and assistance was quite evident as our daughter was left to her own most of the time. It was disheartening to see that they seemed to prioritize only the kids with pre-existing gymnastics skills, leaving our daughter feeling neglected and unguided. The communication was so poor that we were never sure if she even had a coach. Overall, it was a weird and unsatisfactory experience, and we certainly wouldn’t consider taking our kids there again.

Their “Tuesday & Thursday ADULT OPEN GYM” is not as advertised. Not beginner friendly. I asked the person checking in where the coaches were and they that they were one of the coaches for the night and it’s really just a do your own thing set up. One of the coaches, Kiera, did answer my question and showed me some stretches to get my splits. Still, it wasn’t inviting to beginners or as described. The coaches were training most of the time. They way it’s described on the website as “The WIT/MIT class is our adult open gym led by coaches who are excited to help you accomplish your own personal fitness goals. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced gymnast/athlete, this open gym can accommodate your levels and abilities.” Is not true and makes it seems as if it’s an actual class or some guided instruction. If you are experienced and want a place to practice I’d say come to open gym if not I’d look for another place.

I was so excited to begin coaching again for gymnastics, I am new to the area of Cleveland, so I did a google search, I decided to give JSG a try. When I called the owner insisted I come in to see the gym and do a interview. I came in, hired immediately. I asked about certifications upon the hiring process. The owner told me none of her staff is certified to coach Gymnastics. I should of taken that as a red flag and should of never accepted the role. Anyways, she hired me at $18.25 to start, I signed paper work it was a done deal. She also warned me about one of her staff, and how her staff always scares coaches away. I assured the owner it would be ok. - I should of seen that as a red flag as well. A week went by, no training occurred, week two came by, one of the coaches told me to just go with the flow and not to take things too seriously. The coach that the owner warned me about screams at children, and talks violently about how she wants to fight these kids, and actually made a huge scene and punched a kid in the gut (come to find out it was her nephew, but whatever the case was she did it in front of the rest of the kids) During my second week I had a lot of questions, the owner did not take any time to help me whatsoever and just through me in the ring of fire multiple times, which is okay I suppose considering I have gymnastics background. But I felt like I wasn't a value to her gym. Getting ahold of the owner is very hard to do, she only responds to messages and calls when she sees fit.. days later. Upon hiring she told me that I would get lesson plans, come to find out there never was any. She lied. Every time I reached out to her about lessons she ignored my message. By the end of the second week lies were going around about me talking about another staff member/ coach. There was a staff meeting about it, the other coaches were very unprofessional during this meeting. The staff/coach the owner warned me about spread rumors about me and when I spoke about how these lies were not right and didn't make sense she got very violent with me. The owner sat and watched. I felt unsafe, and lied to, it was drama 101. Her staff are very young with no gymnastics background at all, it was "he said, she said" just like we were back in school all over again. I quit the following day because of all of the negativity not to mention I was on the schedule to work extra and the owner decided to take me off without notice, so I quit. The owner withheld my check for 5 days ! My rent was late two days, and instead of direct depositing my check she went back in the system canceled my check and wrote a personal check, the worst part about this was I was hired at $18 and she put in the memo of my check $8.80. Needless to say I cannot even pay my rent now because she changed my hourly rate. Disgusted isn't even the word. - no certified coaches -coaches don't have gymnastics backgrounds - coaches are rude and nasty - owner is a liar. I would never do business with Maureen J Eppich (owner) If I could give no stars I would. Beware. Complete scam artist.

I recieved an email from this gym inviting us to an open gym today since the kids have the day off from school. The price was for $5 per child. When I got there with my two sons, I was charged $20. I showed the owner my email, but she was rude and said that was a mistake and that the price was $10 per participant. I told her that it was her mistake and that she should honor the price, but she refused. I don't want to give business to a company that doesn't value friendliness and good customer service. We won't be back.
