I live in Western Pennsylvania, and our Nordstrom is at Ross Park Mall. Compared to this location, Ross Park Mall looks wimpy. 3 floors, Schindler 700A elevators, and the best part: A more broad selection! Overall, this store is highly recommended.

If I could give 0 stars for my experience at Nordstrom, I totally would. Earlier today, I went to Nordstrom for the purpose of redeeming a $50 gift card that I had received recently. I found several shirts that I wanted to redeem the gift card on and proceeded onto the register. I told the cashier that I wanted to redeem a gift card and pay the remaining balance with my card.During the course of the employee attempting to input my gift card into the point of sales system, she contemptuously asked me multiple times if I had already used the gift card, to which I answered that I did not and that the gift card was a gift received just a few days ago. After 3 attempts at inputting the gift card and after essentially being accused of trying to use a depleted gift card, my frustration and impatience at the whole experience gave in and I asked the employee to give me my gift card back.Needless to say, I utilized my wits to go to the gift card balance link on the Nordstrom website and voila! The link reflected that I indeed had a valid gift card with a $50 balance remaining on it.Instead of asking me multiple times if I already used the gift card, why not just verify the balance through the website? It’s simple as that. Or, why not take the effort to address the point of sales issue with the manager? I also was not greeted by any employees during my duration on the sales floor nor was I asked if I wanted any assistance. Is it because I wasn’t dressed in formal wear to begin with? Is it because my outfit that I wore during my shopping experience didn’t look like it was worth $2,000?Bottom line is, Nordstrom needs to train their employees in human decency, in how to approach any point of sales gift card issues with courteousy and just being respectful in general.

Clean store, good return policy. Shoe department has a very attentive, helpful staff. I like their online options more than in-store options. Limited brands and sizes in store.

I wanted to buy a pair of boots for the winter but the guy seemed super unprofessional and unhelpful. I understand that he was probably tired from a long shift but he seemed like he was just avoiding people altogether. He misplaced the shoe I wanted and got me the wrong shoes out from the back room. I didn’t say anything and just thanked him and left.

Definitely too expensive but there are go to favorites that you'll definitely crave. Turkey avocado BLT. Cookie skillet dessert. Green goddess salmon salad. Super glad that we still have a throwback department store Cafe that feels special ♥️

Service was slow. Waited an excessive amount of time for food. Soup was lousy. Server said she would take it off the bill but did not and we had to get a manager to correct it. This place is not want it once was.

The reason for this 2 star rating was that on Friday, October 13, at 1:45 pm, I walked into the store with 2 returns (clothes and shoes). The sales associate named Taylor in a tan top after she finished with the person in front of me stated “do you have a return”? I said yes, she said “shoes?” And I said clothes and shoes which I know to take downstairs. She said “you’ll have to go to the opposite side to dresses for a return”. She flat out refused to help me. She wasn’t busy as there was a woman behind me and the floor was empty. I did go to the dress department and a super helpful associate took excellent care of my return but how shameful for a person to not want to do their job and make it extra awkward for a customer. Shameful customer service ruins it for all.

I called Beachwood place and asked to speak to someone in shoes. Operator asked what brand of shoes. I told her. She asked which style. I told her I had questions about which shoe in this particular brand might be best for my needs. Operator refused to connect me to a sales associate . No more attempts to shop at Nordstrom again.

The customer service here is amazing. Ria, who works in the purse section, is a God send. She constantly updates me on purses for my wife, helping me select amazing gifts.
