AWESOME. If you have a transmission problem, this place will fix it. Honors warranties. In and out with not one, but two vehicles that shift like Nascar. Great prices. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

The level of service received was very satisfactory. Bob listened to all I had to say about what was going on with my vehicle and Scott did his magic. Very professional and caring. You can see they enjoy and know what they do. I thought I was going to need a new car but I was wrong. They could find what was going on with my car and gave it a second breath of life. Thank you for your service.Services: Transmission

I just had my transmission replaced at this AAMCO location, my car runs better than it has in 5 years. The overall service was professional and courteous, in addition i could tell that the mechanics at this service center were excceptional and provided impeccable care in ensuring that my car was return in excellent condition. I learn that not all AAMCO service centers are the same.

I meant to write this review earlier but was too busy. Unfortunately, I guess, after I had the transmission work done, then the struts and shocks and all the rest of the work on the 2008 Volvo C30, I decided to buy a new vehicle (2023 Volvo XC40). So I have been busy trying to figure out how the dashboard works. I just wanted a vehicle that was higher up, I didn't want the inside of an airplane. Anyway, I'd never been to a transmission shop before and I was nervous about how much it would cost and how long it would take. I was referred to this particular Aamco from Grismer on E. Dayton Yellow Springs Rd. to the owner, Bob, I think his name his name was. Well Bob was very good at explaining every step of the way to me, how the transmission would have to be taken apart first to see where the leak was coming from, then he would call me, which he did, then he called me every step of the way. It was actually pretty interesting. The driver of the county bus said, Oh, transmission work, that's often in the four figures...Well, it ended up being only three figures, so I was happy about that. And when there was a mix-up at the Greene County CATS Bus scheduling office and I couldn't get a ride, Bob had one of his mechanics pick me up when my car was ready. I had 20 minutes to sit with a trained mechanic so I asked him every question I could think of about cars while he drove me back to Aamco so I could pay the bill. It was good service from start to finish and a real learning experience.Services: Transmission

My transmission stopped shifting on 35 west right by their shop. They were so kind, Scott helped me get my car there (saving a tow) and did some affordable emergency fixing to get me on my way. They were all so friendly and helpful.Service: Transmission

My 2012 Ford F150 needed transmission repairs that a Ford dealership said would likely take 6 months to be able to perform. Such was the case because of supply chain issues. I spoke with a trusted garage which was not equipped to do transmission repairs. That garage referred me to AAMCO, Beavercreek, Ohio with the highest recommendation. I contacted Bob at AAMCO in Beavercreek. He performed a diagnostic check which confirmed the Ford dealership diagnosis. He also advised he had heard of people waiting up to five months for the parts necessary to make the repair (again consistent with Ford’s assessment). Bob said he would try to figure out an alternative to the normal supply sources, by checking with his contacts in the industry. Within about an hour, and as I was about to go take my truck off of Bob’s hands and bring it home, I got a call from Bob. He had located the part I needed and said he could have the truck fixed by the end of the week. True to his word, he did, less expensively than I had anticipated. The truck has run perfectly.I cannot stress enough the professional, courteous and competent service I received from Bob at AAMCO, Beavercreek. He truly went above and beyond and repaired my truck in a timely fashion when I was concerned I may be without the truck for several months at least. Customer service such as that is rare nowadays, and worthy of comment!Services: Transmission repair

AAMCO was amazing at taking care of my vehicle! I was quoted $2,600 from the Nissan dealership down the road because I needed a new condenser, o-rings and a compressor assembly, or so I thought. I thought that was awfully expensive so I decided to try AAMCO and through their diagnostics they were able to find a hole in my lower AC line. This saved me $1,935 and my AC feels like new it’s blowing cold air again. Could not be more thankful for their services. Will be a return customer.Service: Air conditioning

Very shady, bob, will lie and state your car has something else rather then fixing it under the warrenty he gives for transmissions for the real problem. Also costed us more money they did not tighten the engine cradle correctly when they put new transmission in. Costed me an extra 400 at another shop to figure out the noise from there mess up.

I recently took our 2015 Honda Civic SI to this shop to have our clutch replaced after we talked with multiple shops in the area. They were not the cheapest, but not the most expensive, at first. So we took the car there, had the service done, and got the car back in about 2 weeks. We paid for and brought the car home on October 27th. I wanted to wait for this review to ensure the quality of the repair.Pros: They were nice and friendly. The work they did is still going strong today, and overall, I'm pretty happy with the quality of the repairs.Cons -1. Initial Greeting: When we went to initially drop off the car, there was no one there to greet us. We were there at 12:30 p.m., so it was lunch time, but that was the best time for me as, like many, I worked throughout the day. We did talk with them and let them know we would be dropping off the car around that time. We ended up having to go around to the gentlemen working in the garage to figure out what to do. That was a bit weird and uncomfortable. The guy who helped us in the garage was great and very helpful. They were not aware we were coming.2. Pricing: This is the part that left a bad taste in our mouths.First, there is no normal veteran's discount, and if your service may possibly have a discount attached to it, they will not offer it; you need to find out about it on your own and make them aware of it before they complete the repairs. They will not adjust the pricing after the repairs are complete. We were explicitly told that if there was a discount, it had to be brought up before the repairs were complete.Second, the actual price was significantly higher than we would have expected. Initially we were quoted ~$1,800 for a clutch replacement with machining a pressure plate, not a new pressure plate. Honda, directly across the street from them, quoted it with an OEM clutch and pressure plate at $2,100. Brownies quoted us $1,600 for the same service as AAMCO. We went with AAMCO for the warranty and the mid-price point. Brand new pressure plates are not that expensive, so even if we did need a new one, it wouldn't have been a big deal, or so we thought. After they had the opportunity to tear down the car, they noted to us that the old pressure plate would need to be replaced. They told us it would set us back about $700, which blew us away. At that point, having them put everything back together and take it over to Honda would have been even more expensive in the long run. If you're interested in how much only the pressure plate costs, feel free to look it up on Google and see the significant margin they placed on the part. They did not supply us with a detailed part list to include the model or manufacture of the parts. The total repair, after tax, cost us $2,754.15. This also included a set of $20 lug nuts that had been destroyed while taking off the tires. The lug nuts were not a big deal, more of an annoyance at best. The total cost at the Honda dealership across the street would have been about $2,220 for the same service. The people were friendly, and the turnaround time was normal.Service: Transmission repair
