We rented a truck on Friday. It was dirty. They told me they were cleaning it. Half an hour later the said it was ready. It hadn’t be touch. We reached our destination and as we were unloaded the truck I realized the tags are expired. We called the 1 800 number. I was transfer all over the place. No result. They told me I had to contactThe location we rented the vehicle. I contacted the location today. I got the runaround he told me I had to call the 1- 800 number the one 800 number told me we had to return it to the nearest Avis and they would exchange it which is over an hour away. they said they would tow it, but we would probably have to pay for the towing. They wanted us to sign a disclaimer if it was not A mechanical issue we had to pay the Towing. I’ve spent over 3 hours on the phone still got nowhere. I also asked to speak to the manger he was sick. He supposedly been sick for days.

0 stars!! Avoid at all cost! Worst experience I've ever had renting a car. I booked a compact rental at this location. However they rented me a Silverado 1500 crew cab. Which I was ok with. The vehicle was in the garage. An employee had to walk with me to the car to open the door. I looked over the vehicle and noticed a large crack in windshield. I let the employee know and showed to him. The interior was filthy touchscreen sticky and stains on seats. My ride there was also a witness to the condition of this vehicle. I returned the vehicle a day early and the older man at the counter told me I would be charged the full fee. I leave and call customer service. She tells me to go in and get receipt I do . He checks truck and blames me for windshield damage screaming at me. Which I did not do. Budget Customer service heard and recorded everything. Customer service lady ask me to get his name he doesn't give it. Says "That's not important" This guy is beyond rude and unprofessional he takes numerous pictures of me and kicks me out store! Threatening to charge me for damage I did not do. I've been honest my entire life and would NEVER damage anything without telling. My ride went in to tell this guy that the vehicle already had damage when I rented. He's not only rude to him but curses at him as well. This location is shady and crooked. Needs to be shut down. Worst and disrespectful experience I ever had renting a vehicle! The negative reviews don't lie!!

Even negative star is too much for them. I reserved a SUV car 6 days in advance, and when I went there to get the car they said they don’t have it, they just can give me a sedan car. I told the manager what’s the reservation for then, he said it’s for NOTHING, it’s my store I will do whatever I want, then he start disrespecting me and told me to get out of my store! It was one of my most awful experiences.

I travel a lot, and Avis at the Fairfield mall is my go to spot! Very professional staff, lots of vehicle availability, and the rental process is very smooth and quick. I highly recommend this location!

I would give them 0 if I could! Unprofessional! Very dirty! I came in at 12 as said in my online reservation and they said we don’t have car for you! The manager attacked us almost! Hope Avis corp has any sort of supervision on their branches!

I have rented here six times in the last year, and every time has been a disappointment. There’s never enough help and there’s never cars and when you return your car for months, I was billed for a car that they said was not returned. The car was returned, and fortunately I kept a picture of it and had to fight them on additional charges. Be careful when you rent here because I’m also not remind you that you have to ask them for unlimited miles. As a corporate executives who travels across the United States, this is one location that I’ve been actually disappointed in.

The place is too damn for customers to deal with. Seems Abdul is the one working when visited. He is too harsh to deal with and not at all a talkative person. It is a very bad remark and they have missed a customer now. He is taking down the customer personally and very harsh. In addition, he is capturing photos locking the door and be careful before entering please.

Very poor cars I wouldn’t recommend to take any cars from here and the management is very rude, improper information, drunkard management , highly recommend not to go. Waste of time even to think of it.

Gave us a van that wasn’t cleaned out before we got it and when we brought it back they demanded we take it to the car wash to vacuum out before returning it.

This was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve had. Avis needs to close this location. Istanbul is a very poor representation of the company. When you get to the store there is trash all around the entrance. The windows are filthy and when you walk in it looks abandoned. There are missing ceiling tiles and the ones that are there have spots from a roof leak. The gentleman working there was very nice, but he wasn’t prepared for me and I made a reservation days before. He first offered a new electric vehicle, but wasn’t able to rent it to me for some reason. He gave me a Honda SUV to drive, I reserved a premium sedan. He walked me out to a fairly dark garage and pointed down to the end and said there is the car and handed me the keys. When I sat down in the Vehicle it was the nastiest vehicle I’ve ever been in. I really didn’t want to sit my bag down. There was trash and the car was extremely filthy. I turned the car on and it had low tire pressure and a maintenance required light on. I went back in and told him I could not drive that vehicle and he acted surprised. There is a big sign up about cleaning, smoking and pet fees. And that vehicle was like that?? Now he is searching for a car to give me, he ended up just going out to the night drop and getting keys. I would have left at this point, but I unfortunately needed the vehicle for a business trip and my ride had already left. The Kia Rio I received was an economy vehicle, not a premium. This vehicle was dirty too, I had to take it thru the car wash and take it home and scrub it down, before driving. When I rented, I specifically chose this location because they were open until 6pm. I got caught in traffic and called the store for an hour with no answer. When I rented I asked what happens if I get there after they close, he said “Oh, I’m always here late and you’ll only be charged the one day. Needless to say when I arrived a 6:15 and my ride was there before 6. And no one was there. I rental was supposed to be $91.02 for a premium car. And I paid $203.38 For an economy car for 24 hours.I’ve heard from other people that have had a similar experience with the cars been very dirty.Avis/Budegt needs to investigate this location.UPDATE: I did contact the corporate office and they quickly responded. They provided me a credit for the overcharge.
