The lady that I spoke to when I walked into the shop was very rude and uninviting. I had openly stated that I had taken apart my embroidery machine to clean it out and unscrewed an unnecessary screw that resulted in a piece to fall out and now I cannot get it back into place. I was met with the statement “Well, most wounds are self inflicted”. I would have just brushed this off, but it just got worse. I was told “You should NEVER take apart your machine more than cleaning out the bobbin area” which is not true. I know how to clean out the upper threading area it was just a mistake I had made. There is some basting spray residue on the machine from previous owners which I was then very rudely told “You should NEVER use basting spray with an embroidery or sewing machine” which is also false. Some brands cause build up, but if you get the right brand it is just fine. She then made me feel stupid and asked “Have you even taken classes?” Yes I have taken classes which were with a close family friend. I got all of the information signed that I needed to leave my machine to be maintenance and left. I was estimated a 1-1.5 week wait which is very reasonable.
Fast forward to a week later, I call the shop to check on my machine and get an estimated pick up date to see if it had changed. I called 6 times before I got somebody to pick up the phone. Not back to back these were decently spaced apart. I believe the same lady had answered who I talked to when I went into the shop. She immediately sounded annoyed and as if I had inconvenienced her. I asked for an update on my machine to which she said “If you haven’t been messaged it isn’t done” that’s not what I wanted to know I just wanted to know what was happening with it. I asked if there was anyway I could have like a progress update. She got even more annoyed and said “Well the service guy is gone for the day, call back tomorrow before 10:30 and I’ll give you an answer.” Your shop opens at 10am. I started calling at 10:10am and didn’t get an answer until 11:40am. How am I supposed to do that.
The day my machine was ready, I had called prior to ask for an update, I was told 1-2 more days. I later received a call that was ready, and from the on everything was fine. The servicing was good and timely. My machine is fixed, but the way I was treated is still infuriating. I also feel as if this is because I am young. I’m a young embroider who makes service dog gear. I definitely will not be returning here and I highly suggest you don’t either unless you are older.

Very nice lady that owns it. They don't have a whole lot but what they do have is a nice selection. My mom and I bought many different fabrics. Plus there is a guy that cleans machines. There was also a dog in the store. He was so sweet and was a nice surprise.

Not sure how on Earth this little place doesn’t have five HUGE stars except I guess the crafting world must be a hard one full of super picky people! Jo Beth & her sweet sidekick Ranger the dog were absolutely nothing short of perfectly pleasant when my daughter & I visited her shop. I had a huge tear in a dress I hoped to wear on stage for a wedding the very next day & Jo Beth surprised me by offering to fix it on the fly & had a perfect (& I mean really perfect) repair done within 2 hours time. You couldn’t even see where the repair was - it blended in perfectly! I was just looking for supplies to do something myself (but admittedly can not sew to save my life). I can not thank Jo Beth or recommend her highly enough! I chose a small business with intention & I am so glad I did. For a moment I thought about going all the way to the other chain style “Jo” fabric store. So happy I found Crafters Lodge instead! I will be back & may even take classes from Jo & learn to sew with (but probably rather ‘for’) my daughters!

Nice little shop, but I wish they carried Moda fabric, especially precuts. I still end up in Cincinnati or online for Moda.

The shop has very limited supplies for any craft you are stopping in for. This was my second stop. The first time I was looking for quilting supplies because I had a gift card. I was not impressed by the selection. Today I stopped in for knitting supplies - again they did not have what I was looking for. I would recommend calling ahead.

Limited selection of fabric, and proprietor wasn't wearing a mask. Seemed like there was space for a sewing/knitting circle, which is nice.

This place is the worst. Bought yarn and they didn't give me the sale price. I live far from the store so they were going to mail me a check as a refund. It took 2 1/2 months and 4 calls. Lots of 'we sent it out' and 'it was returned as undeliverable'. Finally got a bit pissed the last time and she said 'it was just returned so I just put it in another envelope today and re-sent it.' It arrived 3 days later with a check dated the day I talked to her. Liars. To top it off they aren't following COVID guidelines (not wearing masks). There are a lot of great knit shops around. Let this one fold.

Lady behind the counter was awful. Said she was the knitting instructor. Yelled at my grandmother and I for just LOOKING at her service dog. We didn’t approach or anything. Yelled “NO!! SERVICE DOG. DO NOT LOOK DO NOT TOUCH”. She also yelled at my mom because she laughed to herself from across the store when the dog did something goofy. She then proceeded to stop helping us to constantly yell at and insult this dog.The repairs we were having done were absolutely fine, and Jo Beth was pleasant throughout the process, but the in-store experience was just awful.
