I have bought 16 new Chevys since 1981 and three two-year old ones in summer 2017 at Chevy dealers. Upon a recommendation I bought my new '24 Corvette at Stratton's. Every single person there is as nice as could be. Great sales, delivery, and service experiences there. It's 30 miles from my house yet the experience is so preferable to other dealers nearer me, it's no problem to take the 'Vette there for service.

I was looking for a classic Chevy Corvette I searched nationwide and finally found what I was looking for at Stratton Chevy. I noticed on a Saturday they were only open until 2pm. I called at 2;07 and a Wonder Woman answered the phone. I asked about the 2001 Corvette and she said she was looking right at it. I asked how they came by it and she explained that they sold the car to the couple 23 years ago and 4 years ago the husband passed away 4 years ago. The wife kept her husbands prized possession but after not driving it fo a long time she traded it in on a new Impala. The car only had 20,000 miles on it and was white with red interior. I have looked for this combo for some time. I asked Don what he needed to sell it and he gave me a very fair number. Now it’s not easy to find a bank to loan against this car. Don checked around and found two that would By then I decided to pay cash for it. Don found a local shipper who would bring the car to me. He also spent most of today going over the car to make sure it was In excellent condition when I receive it early next week. Tomorrow I expect the shipper will pick up the car and be on his way. Yesterday I wired the money to Stratton Chevy. Looking back I must say this was the easiest car purchase I have ever made. I was not treated like a scammer or a thief like other dealers who made that mistake in the past. In fact the wonderful woman who went out of her way to answer the phone after hours was Dons wife. Later I realized I had asked about this car online and Dons so. Dirk relied graciously to me. And of course Don himself could not have done more to help me with is car purchase. It clearly sets a whole new standard for future car dealers to work for. There was no BS or slamming paperwork fees down my throat as THERE WERE NO DOCUMENT FEES AT ALL! That’s one of the greatest pet peeves that I have with most Dealers.
So if you are looking for a new Chevy call Don Stratton at Stratton Chevy and experience one of the greatest car buying pleasures you have ever had. One day his son Dirk will take over the reins of this dealership and I hope he runs it like his dad has and if he does he will do well.

Kept my truck for 5 days to clear codes and take it on a test drive to tell me nothing was wrong and they don't know what the codes were. Chris the phone jockey is incompetent and Jim the service manager is smug. They charged $42 that AutoZone does for free. Times must be tough in Beloit that they need my $40 to keep the lights on for another month. Jim either swims in cologne or he was getting ready for a date while test driving my truck because 4 days later and I still smell cheap cologne. My truck messed up as I left to drive it to another dealer to get it fixed for free. So if you enjoy incompetence, cheap cologne, and paying for work not done, head on over to Stratton.

When I first went there they did a great job, the second time and last was terrible, had my car for over a month never called to update me on anything. I had to call them and when I did call nobody seemed to know what was going on about anything. Finally get my car back, spent a lot of money they said they fixed the issues just for it to continue with the same problem and on top of that they cracked the plastic casing that goes over my motor didn’t replace it even though they broke it and now my car is making a loud rattling noise from it.
