I have been meaning to review this Kroger for a while now. This review is NOT about the cashier's because the majority of the time that I am in there, there aren't any! The ones that I have been fortunate enough to interact with Manning 1 single line, are pleasant. The issue is, I will NOT use a self checkout period. I never have and I never will. I have had my hands full MANY times and walked straight to line 10 and there is noone there. Each time I put my stuff back and walk out.
Last Thursday morning between 8:30-9:00 am, I walked in and immediately looked to see if there was a register open. Line 10 was lit up. It is a different color of light than the self checkouts. I was happy about that and hurried and got what I needed, yes hands completely full. When I got to the line, the light was now off and noone was there. Put me in a pretty bad mood instantly. I put my stuff back and walked out. This is ridiculous. Kroger makes more than enough money to pay a couple of cashier's. If that ever happens again, I will lay my stuff on the belt and walk out. Maybe if they have to continue putting people's food back on the shelves then they may get the hint to OPEN a register with a cashier. I'm beginning to despise Kroger and Aldi has now become my favorite grocery store. This is unacceptable Kroger!

I tried calling the headquarters in Cincinnati to issue a complaint. Called 4 times and 4 times got someone that could barely speak English in some other country. Would not let me speak to anyone in the main office in Cincinnati. The manager in Belpre needs some training on running a business. Plenty of men hanging over the railing upstairs but they can't help run a cash register?

Idk why this place only gets 3.9 stars currently bc this is by far the very best groceries store in the Belpre, Marietta, and Parkersburg region.
They are always clean and they have excellent selections.
They have a fairly good amount of vegan and gf options. They have a lot of Asian and Hispanic options.
Their produce selection is top notch for the area.

This Kroger has went to hell. Lazy employees, extremely lazy management! This place has gotten so bad from what it use to be that if another grocery store opened up in Belpre this place would almost definitely go under

I HAD A CART FULL OF GROCERIES AT 7AM AND SELF CHECK OUT WAS MY ONLY OPTION. I ASKED FOR A CASHIER BUT THEY WERE NOT AVAILABLE. I WAS BEYOND FRUSTRATED WITH SCANNING AND ALL THE ERRORS ON THE MACHINE. MY CHECK OUT TOOK WAY LONGER THAN NECESSARY. WE NEED HUMAN CASHIERS. LET ALONE, MANY ELDERLY PEOPLE SHOP EARLY AND CANNOT BE EXPECTED TO SCAN AND BAG GROCERIES. IT IS DISRESPECTFUL. IF DAN DID NOT BAG FOR ME I WOULD HAVE BEEN 30 MINUTES. RIDICULOUS. WE NEED HUMAN CASHIERS.

Love shopping at this location the manager manager Michelle goes above and beyond everyone to help me when I have a problem. And all of the associates are always very positive. Also the late hours are even more beneficial.

Online order for home delivery. The driver delivered to the requested residence. We were home but the driver didn't knock or ring the doorbell and just left all the food on the front porch including cold products milk and ice cream. No invoice order receipt left with the order and no idea how long the food was left outside.

Michelle the store manager is very professional and takes the time to understands your situation. She also providing great customer service as this is key to have returning customers. However, it was very frustrating when I first called because the front counter lady did not make any exceptions to my situation and therefore I had to ask to speak with the store manager and glad I did. Office clerks may need more training as to better understand a customers situation before they decide not to help, this is why I give 2 stars.

No help at the courtesy desk. Only one worker at the self checkouts and a line half way back the store. Very poor workers any where in the store. Seen several just standing around doing nothing
