“Good selection of stuff, much less "edited" than Goodwill, with great prices. Lots of books, and plenty of other media, even an 8-track section! Decent craft supply and kitchen sections. Nice clothes. Not much furniture, but they don't have a lot of floor space for it. Is this the best thrift in Parkersburg? It's definitely a contender!
FYI, the hours are on their website. As of now, they close on Thursday to restock, and are open 9-6 M/T/W/F, 10-6 Sat, closed Sunday. They also have an "outlet" location on the south side.”
“Such a nice little store to shop at. Such a wide selection of things and I am proud of myself and the store that the funds collected go to helping those in need. My friend bought 2 vacuum cleaners and I bought 2 shirts, 2 board games, and 1 DVD. Will return on my next monthly local business shopping spree with my friend!”
“This store was a nice surprise. Packed full of nice items. You are sure to find something that appeals to you. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Don’t judge it by it size!!!”
“Not only are the purchases supporting a great cause, the items are great deals. The names of the merchandise on Facebook are so clever. They restock the floors quickly. I just wish they had better hours. Monday-Friday day shift employees can't get their at all during the week. We miss all of the good stuff.”
“Better than S.S location
I hate GW as a whole- very greedy and corrupt company... But despite that, I love thrift stores.
Morals aside, this location is much more fair and sells more quality items, less garbage. I wish they still sold books. The staff are friendly and I'm there often enough that some recognize me and I adore them for their kindness.
I just wish corporate didn't demand any worthwhile games, music, etc media and good electronics weren't auctioned off online. What I'd give to actually find what I love most in life. Miss the days of finding old Nintendo games at GW.”
“Bought a gift card here bc it's my daughter-in-law favorite place to shop. The staff was great and apologetic that they weren't proficient in gift cards bc they are a new thing, but it was still a good visit and a good store to shop in”
“I was there in Feb. and I remembered from years ago that place was totally different. The doors were facing the street but anyway I was thrilled knowing that everything in store was $1 or less. I found some nice tops, skirts, and dress clothes for my husband too. I most definitely will be going back there sometime soon. Didn't know that place was still there. Highly recommend this place.”
