Dr. Eric Shaver was fantastic up front and honest with me when checking my mares. He offered some suggestions and was willing to talk through options with me! I truly appreciate his approach and how the team worked with my mares and foals!

I brought our goat fecal in on 8-12-24 and it was run 8-14-24. I had to call in numerous times because they did not call me with the results, i had to call numerous times (at the instruction of the receptionists, they must not like to call back). Once the results were completed, the vet tried to give me a medicine Corid. Corid runs the risk of making them thymine deficient and causing polio. Since that medicine could cause complications in goats, I asked about another medicine called albon. they told me to give a 40 lb goat 40 ml for the first day and 36 ml for the next 7. This is over three times the amount that you are actually supposed to give. This animal has continued to decline due to this and I had to get it clarified by another vet from another place and they told me that this was three times the amount that this animal should have received. I am very disappointed on how this East Holmes Veterinary Clinic. This is not the first incident that I have had causing injury to an animal or being overcharged. This is unacceptable and I would never recommend them to anybody. Next time I will drive extra to find people that aren't overworked, more courteous, and care more for the animals welfare.

I can’t say enough great things about East Holmes Vet Clinic! Our dog suffered from a full cruciate tear in one knee and partial in the other. From start to finish, I couldn’t not have asked for a better experience considering the circumstances. We were referred from a friend and traveled an hour for their services. Well worth the trip! They fit us in their schedule promptly and wasted no time getting our boy taken care of.
Prior to surgery, Dr. Eric Shaver took the time to thoroughly explain our situation, treatment options, and reasonable outcome expectations. He was able to answer my list of questions and provide additional information on the topics I had extra concern. Their entire team was friendly and gave us confidence to leave our dog in their care.
I’ve visited many primary and emergency veterinary clinics. East Holmes was nearly spotless and smelled of fresh air without the common over abundance of chemicals.
Our supplemental take home information is clear and left nothing unanswered as far as after procedure recovery instructions go. We’re hoping for good health but won’t hesitate to visit East Holmes if needed in the future!

On 2/1/24 we purchased a puppy that was bred by Eli Yoder and sold us by Anna Rabar. This vet examined the puppy we purchased and gave her a clean bill of health. We noticed some congestion on our way home . Over the weekend it became worse. On Monday the 5th she was seen by our vet. She was diagnosed with a respiratory illness and heart murmur that were not listed on the health report on the from this vet. Our vet also stated she may need surgery to correct a breathing issue that's common in Bulldog breeds. Today we have to start her on a second round of antibiotic treatment for the illness and got test results back that show she has giardia that will require treatment. This seems strange that a quality bet would miss all this. Makes me wonder if they're rushing while checking puppy mill puppies.
