Beautiful place. The trails are maintained, and you are able to see the Vermilion River as you hike through. I visited in the fall as the leaves were changing, breathtaking.

This garden is absolutely stunning with many unique plants and trees that you would have to travel outside the country to witness. Great historic story of its culmination and they have tram rides available some days with a knowledgeable tour guide.Playground: The playground has some unique offerings and is more for the 5 and under crowd but it is a great spot to go to while you're there.

I have been to this place so many times and every time it is just as beautiful. Every season brings a new array of flowers and wildlife. In the spring there are tons of tulip, lilac, hyacinth and rhododendron gardens. In the summer they have a huge, gorgeous, rose garden.Pictures do not do the smell justice.Schoepfle has a couple different trails. The main garden loop is all cement and handicap and child friendly.Wooded trails have tons of unusual mushrooms growing in which i posted some pictures. The other gravel trail down to the river, sports tons of wildflowers.Indoor bathrooms available year round. Small patio and sitting area to sit and eat.GardensParksHikingTrails

One of my favorite parks of all times. Actually a historical Arboretum. Amazing assortment of trees and flowers shade and sunshine, Trails above & trails below. Children's Garden is wonderful and tour the house when you can. Grateful to the man who founded this place, his namesake.

What a great stop spot off of route 80. Take your kids here to run off their energy. The kids garden is fun and the best is the cost...free! For those kidless for their visit the rest of the garden was quiet on this Thursday. We would visit again. Could use a little more signage and an info sheet about the flowers and trees in it. Oh and a caution on the carousel, it's a kids carousel. So if you are looking for one adults can ride, this is not it.

This garden was very cute and an easy walk. We took the Tram tour which is every Thursday and Sunday? I believe. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and Otto who started it all. We also walked along the river which had some hills but it was still an easy tolerable walk.

It's a nice relaxing little place I liked it a lot. The kids area has some good stuff to do. Very nature based and I was able go picnic anywhere I wanted really. Just make sure to not leave trash laying around!
