Just returned home from Walgreens at 7900 E. Broad. We were there at 9:00 just as they rolled up the metal partitions on the inside counter to open up and I gotta say I was treated great.
They were quick to make up my prescription and everybody was friendly. My thanks to the Asian American Pharmacist, the tall dark haired gentleman, and the young girl that were working the pharmacy counter today.
I'm not discounting the negative reviews. If someone feels there's a problem I do want to know that and I think that critical reviews can speed up changes in operation.
But in this case, on this day, this particular team today deserved for me to take the time to write this.

I’ve been going to Walgreens for a few years — mostly out of convenience, since there always seems to be one nearby. But I’ve never actually been happy with their service. My previous pharmacy experience was fantastic: the pharmacist would proactively refill medications, my doctor would call in prescriptions, and I’d receive a ready-for-pickup text within hours. That has never been the case at this Walgreens.
Now, nearly every month, for nearly every prescription (and between my husband and me, we’re on several), I have to call the pharmacy just to ask why nothing is showing up in the app and why I haven’t received any notifications. Then I’m told they’ll submit the prescription — but only after I call. This has resulted in multiple phone calls every month, long hold times, and constant frustration.
Today was the last straw. My husband has been prescribed Adderall by his psychiatrist for nearly 30 years. It’s a necessary daily medication — not optional. When I called to ask if it could be refilled a day early so he could pick it up before running out (because he works and can’t just swing by during the day), I was told that he must wait until the day he runs out. That alone is problematic. But then the staff member — I don’t know if he was a pharmacist — told me that medications like Adderall aren’t really needed every day, and if my husband skipped a day or two, he wouldn’t run out. I was shocked. That is either wildly inappropriate advice from a pharmacist, or dangerous misinformation from someone not qualified to give medical guidance.
Either way, it was unacceptable. People trust their pharmacies. Whether that person was a pharmacist or not, telling patients to disregard their prescribed medication schedules is dangerous and unprofessional.
We’ve now moved all of our prescriptions — mine and my husband’s — to a new pharmacy. We will no longer go to this Walgreens, or any Walgreens, moving forward.

Always very slow, multiple times have said my prescription was ready, came to pick it up and it wasn't. Have had to leave line before because it was just taking so long even with, 10 people working. New pharmacy, ASAP.

This pharmacy is probably one of the most ill equipped and thriving places I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They will continually run your prescriptions on the incorrect insurance and then pretend they have no idea what happened when confronted. They are never staffed and the people that work there are cowards and negligent. They will talk out of both sides of their mouths after making you wait a hour in their pharmacy line. Please for the love of GOD and your money go somewhere else. If you have CVS Caremark just know they are absolutely charging you incorrectly and will never own up to it. They are crooks and complete buttheads.

Pharmacy is awful! Line in the drive thru is always 30 mins or longer. Half the time I am afraid to go in because the pharmacy will have the gate down and will only be taking drive thru. They don't fill prescriptions same day. So if your dr calls something in for you in the morning you still will wait 1-2 days. I never had these issues with kroger but my ins no longer accepts kroger. Juat frustrating that a trip to the pharmacy to pick up meds takes 30 mins! And they were giving me 90 day supplies of one of my meds and I had to let them know. They took the meds back to fix it and when I got home I still had 90 days of my meds. Not complaining but that surely isn't a real good thing for your employees to do!

A typical Walgreens that's a full size and fully stocked. Better then those new smaller stores.

The Pharmacy has reduced hours and is drive through only currently. Definitely not convenient for it's customers.

I pulled up to the Pharmacy drive through 10 minutes before they closed. The two cars ahead of me took a long time to process. When it was finally my turn, the pharmacist rudely closed the window just as I pulled up without even saying she was sorry that it was closing time. Neither I nor the car behind me was served.

The manager herself is disrespectful to the employee and the customers. How this company can grow. It's worth to close this store.
