We recently engaged Holmes Renovations to replace our 30 year old deck. I am not going to devote much time in this review to address the quality of their work, other than to say it is outstanding. These folks clearly know what they are doing, and we are exceptionally pleased with our new deck. I think what distinguishes Holmes, however, is that from start-to-finish, every person we interacted with was professional, courteous, and genuinely had a customer-centric focus. Their design staff helped us configure the best deck for our situation by giving us ideas/options with regard to layout, materials, etc. and also shared some suggestions that allowed us to save a few bucks in the process. There was absolutely no sales pressure, and we had all the time we needed to make any decisions about how to proceed. Once under contract, their administrative staff kept us informed about the scheduling of the work, expected timeframes for the delivery of materials, due dates of payments, etc. There were no surprises, and any minor changes to the schedule that did occur were always communicated to us in advance. The actual crew that did our work was terrific. They showed up as promised, worked diligently through some pretty unpleasant weather to keep things on schedule, patiently answered all of our questions about what they were doing, and were just incredibly nice people. We identified one minor issue during the project, and they immediately addressed it without question. They also, graciously and at no additional cost, did some work that went beyond the scope of the project by repairing some minor damage to the house that could not have been avoided during the demolition of the original deck. The construction supervisor checked in appropriately and always responded immediately to our phone calls and/or texts, but quite honestly, the crew doing the work was so good, we really didn't have much need to call on him (which is a good thing). We wanted to make some landscaping changes to enhance the surroundings of our new deck, and Holmes' owners also put us in touch with a company that they have used on some of their other projects. It was a solid referral---the work and people involved were great, and everything was done timely and as promised. We had a wonderful experience with Holmes, and would not hesitate to hire them again, or recommend them to others.

About 10 years ago, we had Holmes Custom Renovations upgrade our home's exterior siding to Hardie plank. Their work was amazing and we have loved it ever since the install. Last month we noticed a few cracks on several boards and asked Holmes if the warranty would cover repairs. They worked with the manufacturer to get the work approved and fixed the issue good as new. 10 years later and they are still working hard to make sure we are happy with the original work...amazing customer service and craftsmanship. Highly recommended! Thank you!

When we decided to reside our 35 year old Northern Kentucky home, we selected James Hardie “Color Plus” straight shake siding for its beauty and durability. Unfortunately, the original contractor / installers, not being familiar with the specific Hardie installation instructions, failed to properly install the siding. The result was unsightly and allowed water intrusion. It required complete replacement. We researched Hardie certified contractors and chose Holmes Custom Renovations to remove and replace all the siding on House and Garage. Holmes’ professional crew painstakingly removed and replaced the siding resulting in a water-tight and beautiful home and garage.

The work crew, Jose, Luis and Junior were friendly, professional, highly skilled giving much attention to detail . We are thrilled with the remodel project and outstanding upgrade to our home. Worth every penny .

We had our deck completely torn out and redone with Holmes and could not be happier. This included keeping the old 700 sq ft footprint, adding a knee wall to our covered porch, and replacing all the screens and doors. From start to finish, they were professional, detailed, and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would recommend (and already have) Holmes to anyone looking to build or redo their deck.

Overall, The Holmes professionals (Noah and Jared) did an excellent job. They took the time to understand our needs and how to integrate a new deck with an older home and sloping yard. They explained the details of the process and material options including railing and lights. We are very pleased with our new deck.

First class experience all the way. From the initial contact, which occurred right away after I filled out the request for information all the way to the end of the project. When we searched for a contractor to rebuild our screened porch and patio, Holmes Custom Renovations was at the top of our list. After meeting with Noah to discuss our specifications and expectations, we had complete confidence that Holmes was the correct partner for our project. Our project manager, Jared, dealt with a lot of unexpected material supply issues and did a great job of keeping the project moving forward. The crown jewel in the Holmes team was our foreman, Mike. His attention to detail, quality workmanship and problem-solving skills were second to none. Mike’s crew member Steve made some design recommendations that further refined the look of the porch. Great family organization. Everything smooth and orderly from first contact to final cleanup and departure. Great people to do business with. Communicated at all times during the design and construction process. Everyone professional, proactive and great to deal with.Construction crew very professional and perfections treated our deck like it was attached to their home. New deck and pergola built by Holmes Custom Renovations. It is even better than what we were expecting. Holmes workers and foreman did an absolutely beautiful job. They took their time, never rushed any aspect of the job and the result is fantastic. Their craftsmanship and attention to details is exceptional and refreshing nowadays.
