“I am not born and raised in Youngstown. I have a mere 11 years under my belt. But I love this Valley & proudly call it home. And I'm alarmed that many Youngstown natives have NEVER been to The Butler. This museum is first rate and dead red in the center of the YSU campus! Firstly, it LOOKS like a museum from the outside. I dig museums that are in almost garish, funkily designed buildings, as well as hole in the wall locations that are in up-cycled spaces. But the exhibits at The Butler are def at home in a classic, imposing building. The museum is painting heavy, so maybe not the greatest place for young kids. And not being an art aficionado, I find some of the works to be awe-inspiring while others look like they should be hanging by magnets on grandma's fridge. The museum features paintings by a multitude of different artists, among them are some heavy hitters; Winslow Homer, Jackson Pollock (yuck) and Andrew Wyeth. Being a caveman who considers 80's heavy metal album covers the pinnacle of artistic expression, I'm not the art critic you came for. But my favorites include the audiokinetic sculptures of George Rhoads (think Rube Goldberg devices and you'll get an idea) and David Durlach's "Dancing Trees II". It is interactive & looks like a living, breathing entity (or entities) from another world, and I can't help but feel the malice from this piece. Love it.”

“Nice stuff but some used items are overpriced. I also wasn't familiar on how to buy furniture, you have to take the tag and bring it up to the register. I also hoped to find kitchen appliances but no luck. I also didn't know I was supposed to bag my own things. That's kind of weird. Overall the people working there were nice. Even though one chair broke just a few hours later, I'm well aware I bought used furniture "as is." Turned out the couch I bought didn't fit in my SUV and they recommended someone who could deliver my furniture.”
“A few years ago I was looking for an end table and rocker recliner. I was browsing the ReStor shop and found a beautiful well made solid wood end table with dove tail fitted drawer for only $12 plus tax. And then another time I found a Lazy Boy rocker recliner for only $60 and I sit and rock and relax in it still today. I'm looking to donate a table and 2 wooden chairs as I have just learned that they will pick up donations!I support Habitat ReStor!”
“Staff was very nice, helpful, and friendly. I was able to walk in and get a couple bags of groceries. They are open Mon - Fri from 9am - 12pm. They also give a large grocery give away once or twice a month on Tuesdays. You have to let them know how many in your family. Thank you so very much for everything you all do in a day. God Bless you all ??❤️”

“Thank you so very much Antajuan! This place is SO HUGE and amazing ? ❤️? It was quite overwhelming on our first visit, but Antajuan was so very nice, kind, caring and informative. Thank you so very much again. We were able to go swimming on our first visit, but there are so much they offer!!! On my second visit today I was able to see even more rooms for workouts, basketball, racket ball/tennis, class rooms, and other rooms I am still not sure. Me and my boys can't wait to find out though! Thank you so very much for welcoming my family into the YMCA family ??? What a beautiful experience. God Bless You YMCA, the staff, and visitors ???”

“The league has held an annual Pink Ribbon Tea for 25 years. This important community tradition unites and celebrates women of our area that have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks to the ongoing support of the league and our sponsors, over 7,000 survivors have attended the Tea free of charge over the past 25 years.”

“this habitat for humanity reminded me more of a thrift store, goodwill type store, a large room in back of store had the construction materials, such as tools, doors, windows, appliances, wood trim, light fixtures, tiles, door knobs, hinges, hardware, cabinet handles, staircase , sinks, countertop, back splash tiles, etc.... and golf clubs.sporting goods. this place had some ****** higher end nicer home decor/ xmas decor, than the other restores i have been to in pittsburgh, new kensington, and beaver falls, pa”

“I like the new shake-up that they have going on down there. They have a new head staff member that is very friendly and very caring. It seems like they have changed their stance when it came to sales as well. A lot better more fair pricing considering that all items are donations. They do a lot to help the hungry. If you are hungry and need somewhere to get food I highly suggest this place. Also if you need your a little thrift store itch go here and buy things because it helps out others.”

“Friendly & helpful staff, who truly care about everyone who comes through their door. The facility is clean and well maintained. They provide 3 meals every day, and will help with clothing, hygiene products, etc. They house single men on one side and house single women, single women w/kids, and families on the other side. There's a laundry room for residents to use. They have helped us when we at the bottom of the barrel and I simply can't say enough great hints about them.There are also Chapel services available to attend and it truly is important to always pt God 1st especially in these types of situations.”
“We love Dr.Clipse! We have taken all 5 cats to angels and have had nothing but good experiences with staff and the vets! We adopted our first 2 cats from angels and are beyond blessed with them. It’s definitely worth the 40 min drive for us!”
“This place has a great seasonal selection. If you're looking for affordable lamps and lamp shades, this is the place. There is also great glassware, suitcases, and random vintage items. There are a lot of great women's clothing, but the men's and children's sections are limited. New items daily!”
