Nasty clothes on the sales floor at an exorbitant price. Clothes in the store had holes, tears, and stains. I don't even think the employees bother to look at the clothing. The selection is bad and clothes are incorrectly sorted by size. Of course I want to buy leggings with a nasty crotch for 16$. Don’t bother going to this location, you are better off digging for clothes in the dumpster.

First time at a Plato’s Closet and honestly disappointed. The selection was okay and the prices were a bit high for thrift stores. I also brought in a large load of clothes to try and sell, which I’ve done at other consignment shops in the past, and I was told that none of the brands that I brought in would “sell well” at this location… I thought this was odd because I had Ralph Lauren, House of CB, Abercrombie, H&M, and other good brands that were lightly used, or not even worn at all (tags still on). Having worked at a consignment shop during college, I know what’s generally accepted and what’s usually passed up…
I brought the same bin to uptown cheapskate down the road and they took 70% of what I brought in (and I made over $200)…
At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter, but now I know where not to shop/bring my clothes.

1st time I come to this location they tell me they stop accepting items at 8. The lady working told me as long as I bring items in before 8 I’m good. Second attempt go there today before 8 around 7:30 they tell me they are done accepting items for today. This place is a joke go to the Niles location it’s 100% better!

“We don’t take items under the year 2023” My mom quite literally bought something from there last year and they didn’t take it. Employee walked out mid through looking at the clothes to go get canes. No one was out there looking through the clothes. Another employee came out and looked through them. Then 5 minutes later says they’re done and they didn’t take anything. Normally when we come they take such a long time to go through our clothes. Normally an hour to an hour and 30 not 5 minutes. Doubt they even looked through the clothes thoroughly. Even when they do look through them it still shouldn’t take an hour. Uptown cheapskate is so much better. And they don’t take an hour they take 20 mins max.

I’ve been to this Plato countless times, more so recently and I keep coming back because of the cute clothes HOWEVER, the staff is always so rude 😭. They give off high school mean girl vibes. The last 4 times I was there and went to set down the clothes that didn’t fit in the “return” pile, the employee(s) folding the return clothes gave me the dirtiest looks. And I’d say about 75% of the time at checkout, I get a really rude tone from the employees. Last time I was completely ignored at the counter by 3 employees while they trash talked another employee for calling in sick. And then once they finally decided to ring me up, the girl who did it had such a nasty tone and rolled her eyes at me because I accidentally told her the wrong payment method. It’s not that they say rude things, they just give very mean looks (and I’m not talking rbf, it’s very clear they are purposely being nasty), and the tone of which they say things is very passive aggressive. It’s gotten a lot worse in the past year and I literally wouldn’t come back if it weren’t for the decent prices. Another side note is the organization of the sizes is not accurate at all. There will be XS items in the large section and vice versa, it’s like the size markers on the rack are just for show which can make it hard to find clothes without having to physically check every tag.

The store was busy and the staff was kind. My girls all found outfits that they loved at a price that I loved. Good selection and all the latest styles.

went there because i was bored. wanted to see if there was anything cute there. found a cute jacket for $14. perfect. got home and saw it literally had dried crusted food on it…. i know my fault for not double checking for stains but i didn’t expect crusty food on the clothes. goodwill does better than that…

I love shopping here everyone is friendly the only thing I don’t like is that while I’m shopping I start to get real hot especially when trying on things the store seems warm and stuffy

Been there two or three times, sometimes with clues. Still having tags on them. They have never bought anything. They always say they're out of date. I have bought items there which seem to be older than what I'm bringing in. Hope others have better luck

i brought clothes in to sell for the first time and watched 3 employees gag and make fun of a few items. extremely immature. at least do it in the back room where you’re not visible to customers

I literally cannot say enough good things about Plato's Closet Boardman! I'm obsessed with this store in every way. I've been making the hour trip to shop here for the last 8 years & it's consistently ALWAYS so worth my time.The employees are super friendly & great at what they do! I drive to many Plato's locations to shop & the girls at this location are the absolute best at buying great inventory from customers. Like every single piece of clothing in this store is on trend & super cute! The prices are unbeatable too! Every time I shop here, I leave with several large bags full of new clothes & the employees always make me feel even more excited about what I pick out!

I’ve been going to platos for a couple of years allow them to pay whatever for my nice items, I have to say there are only 3 or 4 employees that are very nice, in business we must treat everyone with respect and greet them no matter, platos employees are not my friends, we are not in high school some of them don’t even say hello they look at you from above their shoulders. I’ve had businesses in the past one thing I told my employees greet and ask if help is need it.I want to congratulate the owners for their assistant manager and one or two are very nice.Don’t forget everyone must say HELLO!
