I came to this office on a Saturday by my sister’s recommendation. (Clearly she was fortunate enough to have a good experience) For starters I want to say that I don’t run to the doctor for every sniffle. I generally ride it out at home. At the point of my visit I had been getting worse over the course of 3 days and nothing I had been trying over the counter was helping so I decided to go. I was desperate for some relief of my symptoms. I got there at 1:35/1:40. I knew they closed at 2:00 but was hopeful I’d be in and out. They saw me, I left at 2:37. I was told they were calling me in an inhaler, and either 2 other pill prescriptions or 1 syrup that did the same job as the two pills to help with my cough and whatever else. It was dependent on my insurance coverage. They had a Poland pharmacy on file, I asked for Boardman instead, they said ok, and I left. The lady working the front desk was Dawn. She was very nice. I have no idea who the doctor was, she didn’t say her name, I just know she was petite, a brunette, and was wearing a mask. I called the pharmacy 10 minutes after leaving to see how long the wait would be and they said they hadn’t received anything yet. No big deal. I called back an hour later and still nothing. I called Poland thinking maybe it went there instead anyway which would have been fine, but they didn’t have anything either. Nothing was ever sent. I couldn’t call Southwoods back as they were closed, so I had to wait until Sunday morning to resolve it. I called back Sunday morning and explained and was put on hold to figure it out. She came back on and asked what my symptoms were so she could tell the doctor that is there now to call me in something, as there was no documentation as to whatever I was supposed to be called in. I was confused because wouldn’t my reason for being seen be documented? I told her my symptoms and that they tested me for Covid and influenza A and both were negative. I was placed on hold again. She came back and said I was going to be called in the inhaler, and antibiotic, and a steroid. I stated that the previous doctor said I didn’t need an antibiotic. We kind of went back and forth and hung up with me under the impression something was still being called in. Ok cool. Then they call back. Now, nobody can call me in anything because the doctors currently there haven’t physically seen me (which I understand) but now I have to wait and call back Monday to speak to whoever did see me or receive a call back the next day as that doctor wasn’t there so I’d have to wait. I apologized to the receptionist that I spoke to for unleashing my frustration on her, however, that would have then been 2 days since being seen that I still wouldn’t have the prescriptions required to get me on the right track of feeling better. How do you treat someone and not document anything? I’m still unclear on if my visit itself even exists because why would I have to explain the details of it and why I came unless it wasn’t documented as well? Sure, I’m not on my deathbed and this isn’t going to kill me, but I do feel this is extremely negligent and unacceptable. I am miserable. That’s why I chose to come in to help myself. I don’t want a call back. I made it clear I won’t be calling Monday nor do I want to be called. I could be 2 days in on medications at that point and feeling so much better. My apologies to Ed Muransky, as he is a wonderful man who’ve I had the pleasure of meeting many times when I was employed by one of his businesses many years ago, but I will never be back nor will I ever refer this place to anyone.

Went to express care this morning--front desk staff was kind...the MA Sandy was exceptionally caring and patient...the PA Marsia was knowledgeable and patient.. would highly recommend going here.

The absolute worst doctor's office I've been to. I handed them a list of exactly what I needed for my diabetes, because I've been diabetic for years, and somehow they managed to mess up every script down to vials instead of pens, extremely low dosage, and pen needle size. I get insulin pens.. why would you prescribe me pen needles and vials when the 2 don't go together and I've never used vials?! Also, I absolutely cannot get through the month with such a low dose when I told you how much I use! This isn't chronic diarrhea, this is a life threatening disease and you managed to not get one single thing right. Between my husband's experience treating his asthma and mine with diabetes, we've switched to new doctor's offices. We will avoid all Southwoods and their incompetence in the future.

Not really sure why they say they're open until 8pm. I hobbled in at 7:53pm and they wouldn't take me. Every job I've ever had, you take people until the clock hits the time on the door. Must be nice to make up your own hours.

Had I read the reviews, I would never have gone to this urgent care. They claim to be open until 8:00 pm; however myself and another lady arrived at 7:35 pm. We were both refused care by a rude LPN at the desk, stating they were not accepting any more patients. I asked aren’t you open till 8:00 pm, she stated we can’t accept anyone else, because we are already stuck here till after 9:00 pm. The other lady being refused care, asked for the name of the supervisor and the rude LPN told us to came back tomorrow. I suppose if they want to be gone by 8:00 pm, they should change their hours to 6:00 pm, so if they get stuck late they can still leave by 8:00 pm. Poor patient care, turning people away during posted scheduled hours, you should be ashamed of yourselves. The rude LPN kept saying “Whatever” and when I said that’s not very professional, again we got “Whatever”. My experience with the Southwoods urgent care in Boardman was unacceptable and disrespectful to say the least. I hope you are seeing this Ed Moransky and will address this situation. It’s ridiculous that I have to even put this out there. Your staff needs educated on professionalism.

My daughter went in the Boardman location with a sinus infection and they treated her with Zyrtec allergy medicine! I’m no doctor but everyone knows that will not help a sinus infection! Don’t waste your time or money! Idk what happened to Southwoods urgent care, it USED TO BE good. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience at the Bdmn location. The last time was in Campbell and they didn’t prescribe anything to help my other daughter. Apparently they want to keep you coming back…. $$$. Nice money scheme, very sad.

Met with Dan for gout treatment. He was friendly, listened, and helped me out in no time. I’d go back.

Just a waste of time the receptionist is a paid liar who will say they can help or do what ever you ask just to get you stuck there in their covid cess pit of a waiting area that makes no sense, so this quack of a doctor can tell you they won't help you and to go to another place so he can charge you 352.00!!!

Visited for care of a staph infection as I am caring for a family member that contracted it and I appeared to have contracted it from them. I was turned away at the window was told it looked like bug bites. Went to 910 express care and received an exam and care resulting in the oral and topical medication needed to treat a staph infection. These infections can be deadly. I was disappointed that I was turned away at the window. I can only rate from my one and only experience here. They were polite when they turned me away, however.

Complete waste of time. Also, whoever Ted is that you have seeing patients get rid of him. Worst experience ever.
