The staff is friendly but we had a lot of issues when we were here. They would knock on our door all the time saying we didn't pay and we would have to produce receipts weekly cause they never put it down.There's nails in the gravel, my family as well as others used to talk about it when replacing our tires that they had to do the same thing too. We told the owner and he didn't believe us about nails in the gravel. Mind you we staid here for 3 months. We had agreements with staff and all. everything that we did and was planned, suddenly next day would be different and felt like it was there to get you to leave.

When we walked in this hotel I was baffled with the set up. A big round table with 2 chairs can’t even get to the side of the bed. The look being stuck in the 80’s smells like mold throughout can’t clean there bathroom tub. Our bedsheets had cum stains and even red stuff. Air conditioner doesn’t hardly work. Don’t expect room service because we asked for towels and toilet paper and they refused. So by our second night we had nothing. There’s a 25 dollar deposit don’t expect to get it back unless you do their job. We had asked for it back because they explained it was refundable. LIARS. No note all the trash that we had. I had put it neatly in a bag and all towels and dirty sheets and blankets in a pile no mess at all. The response I got was “ that room is a mess. I’m not cleaning that you have to do that to get your deposit back.” They expect you to clean your sheets and throw out the trash yourself. Out of all the hotels I’ve been to that’s been the worst experience for me and my family.

We stayed here for the solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. This is a very low budget lodging. The rooms haven't been updated in years. However, it was clean and quiet, and the beds were comfortable.
They lost our original reservation, which we had made months in advance. I called a couple days before our stay, and they were very helpful to get us the room we wanted at the original price, even though they had raised the prices in the interim. Price was very reasonable, despite the fact that most lodgings in the area were price gouging for the eclipse.
Just a few issues. We had to pay cash, as the card reader was not working. Fortunately, there is an ATM in the lobby. The WiFi was out, which was not a problem for us. Also, there is no free breakfast, contrary to what the website says. All told, not a bad place to stay for one night.

It's half way between Atlanta and Northern Michigan. I've been coming here for years.But I miss the bar, restaurant, and live music by the pool. Wish the owners and staff all the best, you guys rock!

Priced $15 more than the website. Door did not seal at all. Air Conditioner worked at half capacity at best. Afraid to shower because of the very bad ceiling patch Jon over the shower. Only one lamp would turn on out of three.

Budget Host Inn offers a clean comfortable bed at a reasonable price. The hotel has been around for a few years and it does show its age but the people are friendly and the hotel is decently clean. Free hot food in the morning as part of your stay. My wife and I have stayed here many times between Michigan and Georgia we stopped in for a refreshing evening.

Overall, for the price, it isn't a bad place to stay. I'm here currently because of a job transfer. The breakfast is great, the bar and food is good, but there's one problem. There's a 60+ year old crack-head looking skinny woman who works here, who is a total judgemental wretched trash of a woman. She is gutter trash who will do and say anything to inflate her worth. Nobody likes her. If you know Skeletor from He-Man, you'll recognize her. She's a miserable old bat. Ignore her. If you do, this is a great value.

It is what it is. Cheap motel. Decent weekly price. Clean. No bugs! Nice pool bar and diner.
