I've been going here for years now. Scott Newman is a gentleman and a scholar. He's my number one recommendation for most things car related in town. He's helped me with both of my Toyota avalons. Although my current one may be KAPUT bahahahah I'm also hoping to get better gas mileage on a different car lol

$46 for them to read my check engine light, $18 to refill my radiator coolant, $22 for some random cap. I knew and told them the reason the check engine light was on cause i have my own computer to do that. It was an issue with my thermostat not taking proper readings. I don't believe they ever bothered trying to identify the problem within the thermostat, rather they just decided to replace the entire thing. I had the same issue fixed about a year ago for 1/3rd of the price somewhere else, because they fixed the thermostat rather than replace it.

Great mechanic shop, with very honest crew and very fair, transparent and honest pricing. I have been using them for a little over two years and will keep using them in the future.

Last night I decided to grill out, so I stopped at Newman's Marathon and picked up propane. Newman's is the service station of my childhood sans the rack of red, white, and blue foil-wrapped tires and the table of old guys smoking and gossiping in the waiting area. Gas prices are in line with the discount box stores. Scott the owner is always there and everyone is friendly, helpful and neatly dressed. This time of year, The corn cart is out, 12 ears for $6. And it's the best! (Yeah, got some of that, too!) They also do excellent mechanic work. Best of all, the money I spend there stays in BG! Remember, every dollar spent in a locally owned business circulates through the local economy an average of 3.5 times. Shop locally and invest in your community.

My first choice to stop for gas, I've always had friendly and helpful service here. They still offer a full service pump and free air for your tires which you don't see many other places. I also always go here to fill up my propane tank. Awesome gas station!

Love their gas. Wish they carried milk, bread, eggs and simple meats.

24 hour pumps, polite staff and a small selection of snacks/drinks. Have not used their mechanic services but I hear good things.

I took my vehicle here after being recommended it was a great business. They checked out my car, explained in detail what needed done, and gave me a quote. I agreed and they ordered the necessary parts. I later get a call saying the price was inaccurate, I held my breathe nervously, but they actually were knocking the cost down! They were given the wrong quote on the part and wanted me to be aware. I was very pleasantly surprised and thanked them for their honesty and service! I feel like this is an extremely trustworthy business that really looks out for their customers and community.

Went in and got gas and my friend got cigarettes and when i got back to the car, my cup had spilt out into my cup holder. I grabbed some paper towels from the dispenser at my gas pump, and some j*** who worked there came outside and yelled at me! “Those paper towels cost me money you don’t need to be using more than one!!” Ive never had an issue taking a couple paper towels as napkins before at any other place, but for a paying customer to use one for a spill? Really? I’m never coming back to this junker again. There are two perfectly fine, and CHEAPER Circle K store within a few blocks in either direction. Take your business ELSEWHERE!

Newman's Marathon is the most outstanding gas & automotive service station in not only Bowling Green, OH, but the greater Wood County area as well. Staffed by a dedicated group of mechanics, Newman's offers expert repairs at reasonable prices, gasoline that's frequently cheaper than its competitors, and a host of amenities, such as a full-service pump & the complimentary use of an air compressor to fill up your tires, for customers convenience if they so choose. Truly a service station dedicated to serving your automotive needs & not a glorified convenience store that knows more about candy bars than cars!

Had a muffler problem on my 2006 Toyota Corolla. Took it in. They could have easily told me to replace the whole exhaust system and I would have done it. Instead they were honest with me about what makes more sense and recommended the less expensive patch (~$100 vs. ~$500). I then had some sounds that were coming out after the repair. Took it back in, turns out the hitch I had on was rubbing a bit after the metal heated and expanded. They took me seriously when I told them about the noise, and were willing to drive around with me until they heard it too. They fixed the problem with the hitch, no charge. Excellent experience with these guys so far. They're honest, and they took what I said seriously enough to investigate. Most other mechanics would either not believe me, or misdiagnose the problem and charge me to fix what didn't need repaired. So, yes, very happy. Highly recommend!

This is a great gas station. They have gas. What more could you ask for. Staff are nice and they also have a mechanic area where you can take your car if it needs to be fixed.
