We called in September to make a service appointment for some minor repairs. On the phone, they gave us the date October 10th. There was no text or email follow-up. When we dropped off on October 10th, they said that we had missed our appointment. There was no phone call or attempt made to contact us between when we made the appointment and when we were told we had missed it. Then we were told we couldn't schedule again for a month and a half. Extremely unprofessional for a dealership service center.

After having been a loyal Thayer customer for years (up until this happened), when my dad died and left me his 20 year old sports car, of course I took it to Thayer for detailing, an oil change, adjusting a rocker panel, and replacing the window motor on the passenger side. The first time I got it back, the rocker panel was not fixed (later they explained why, and that was fine). It was not properly detailed, windows not clean and the whole back of the car was never even vacuumed. My husband pointed this out to the service manager, who did not care, offer to fix it, etc. They also lost the driver's floormat (it was there when I dropped it off, but not when I picked it up). Service manager said they hang them up on the wall to clean them, then put it back in. Basically, you are SOL. Again, didn't care, very rude and condescending. So I'll be paying to replace that. Also, the driver's door panel around the handle was loose when we picked it up, my husband had to tighten the screw. That's when we noticed the over an inch long crack on the inside of the driver's door by the window. Service manager insisted they never touched that door, of course. Obviously, it appeared that someone perhaps removed that door panel to see how it went in on the passenger side and broke it putting it back together. When we brought the car back the second time, my husband pointed it out to the service manager. Nope, they never touched the door, was the only response we got. I have been in and around that car for 20 years, and there was never a crack there before it went to Thayer. So, I'll be paying to replace that, as well. Also, now the "service engine soon" light is on, so whatever they did during the process of the oil change, I'll be paying to fix that, too. So disgusted, and have never had a "service manager" treat me so poorly, both over the phone, and in person. Up until this all transpired, I would have given them a glowing review.

I've dealt with the service department multiple times since 2014...issues with cars ...they've always treated me right. Great folks!

The staff is top notch. They are friendly, keep me well updated on the status of my repairs and go out of their way to help if I need shuttled home after a drop off, picked up and brought back or in need of a rental for work while my vehicle is there. They will always have my business.

My mother recently had a bad experience at another establishment wanting to price gouge her wanting her to put a motor and transmission in her car when in all reality it just needed GM O2 sensors, thank you so much for taking great care of my Mom and so kind you ALL are the best!! ??

Awesome experience, diagnosed and fixed problem in a timely manner. The service advisor Cindy was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I would highly recommend Thayer Chevy.

Had a pretty significant issue with my 2018 Chevy Silverado and Thayer service was spot on. They worked with GM to get the outcome that I wanted even though I think it took some real effort on their part. They provided me with a loaner truck and were prompt and communicated with me throughout the process. Great service!

The day before New Years my wife was traveling from Michigan to Ohio to pick up our child. Our car went into limp mode & she couldn't go much further. I told her to bring it to a dealer near her. I'm so Thankful it was Thayer. They treated my family so nice. My wife had a horrible day that day traveling in the snow storm then this, and they were able to make her smile. I work in a dealership in Michigan & have seen all kinds of service. I was not going to be a repeat customer due to living out of state but they still treated us so kindly & went above & beyond to mail me my keys I left and make sure we were satisfied. The best (hands down) dealership I've ever dealt with. I buy Chevy because if Thayer. I live in Toledo but take my cars back there for service because they still treat you like human (who isn't necessarily a car expert). Just be as specific about your problem and they will listen you and will almost always get it right first time. Thanks your service department and reps are awesome!!!

The following comments are an entertaining depiction of what happened to me this month at Thayer Chevrolet. Me- OK Brett and Anthony, I hear you are the chosen ones for Costco customers. I need to bury $8000 and negative equity because I am 20,000 miles over on my lease. B&A- OK let's see what we can do. (30 minutes later- in the voice of the guy from SpongeBob) this is the best we can do today. Numbers numbers numbers. Me- ouch, give me a minute to think about it. B&A- OK, promotions may change after the Fourth of July. We will talk to you on Friday. (Friday) B&A- Great news, we were able to get two more rebates. We are going to give you a $31,000 vehicle get rid of your 8000 in negative equity for a grand total of $28,600. Me- don't mess with my emotions. 1 hour later B&A- here are the keys to your new car. (Daughter) (23 days later) Me- Hey Brittnay Anthony I am bringing in my kids mother. Here's what we need. B&A- Here's exactly what you want. You want to keep the payment below 500. How does $433 down and two slushees. (1 hour later) Me- thanks for the new car. What can you do for Alexandria. B&A- we will see you on Saturday. Let's get the car in check it out and do the deal. 3 cars, one month, lifetime friendship with Thayer Chevrolet.
