About Wood County Museum
The Wood County Museum is located inside the former county poor farm, offering a very interesting and informative look at local history. Visitors find it a fantastic and wonderful place, describing the experience as educational and enlightening. The museum features award-winning rotating exhibits, like a wedding dress display, and the history of the facility is well documented throughout. Guests can take a self-guided tour of the main building and also walk around outside to see the out buildings and cemetery. The employees are friendly and a wealth of information, seeming to really enjoy sharing their knowledge. Admission is very reasonable. Many visitors highly recommend it, especially for those interested in the history of caring for the community. Several people express a wish that more people knew about it and plan to definitely return to see more.

Music at the museum was great! This is an awesome event.

Has summer activities with some interesting buildings on the grounds. Such as an old oil dike, a cabin, blacksmith shop open during reinactment events. Outside roaming is free.
