I shopped at Mark's today as I do several days every week. As I started through the self checkout line the woman in charge told me that it looked like I had more than 25 items in my cart so I would need to go through a cashier line. I asked her how she knew that. She said it just looks like it. So I waited and I went through a cashier line and sure enough I had 26 items. I counted them. I got a new cashier and it ended up taking me twice as long. I spoke to the boss woman on the way out and I told her that I had 26 items instead of 25. Her response was well at least I got something right. My response was really?

always an interesting time shopping here, you never know what you are going to come across, lots of great deals, and great prices on groceries. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A great place to grab what you need.

I was in dire back pain and in need of a heating pad. I was wandering around and asked the front clerk where one might be. They seemed unsure and then swiftly swooping in was a handsome man named Rich in a nice dress shirt. He was the store manager and was very helpful and kind. It took him 2 seconds to take me and lead me right to them and he gave me two options. He was very polite, and thankful for our business. Rich knows what's up and he runs a great store 😎 I've lived in Brecksville 33 years and it is nice to know we have a local grocery that has a strong manager. He needs a raise.

The workers here are absolutely work shy. There is not enough help and being forced to check out your own groceries while the person who is monitoring for theft in that area stands and does nothing is annoying. The computer giving advice on how to scan more efficiently is particularly annoying. I have learned- if you want superior customer service without an attitude, go to Heinen’s.

Gregg was very rude to me. I asked him politely where the spaghetti squash might be and he told me "it might be smart to look in the vegetable section" I was with my newborn baby and my 3 year old. All I wanted was just for him to locate it for me as I'm from out of town. Idk if he's the manager or just a worker but he should not have a job at Marc's

Good deals on deli foods and gadgets. A small tool section if you need something in a pinch. Not a great selection of frozen foods but there's some rare deals in here you won't find anywhere else.

Sadly, this store has been on a downward spiral since Covid. Prices at register often do not reflect shelf price, always in their favor (didn’t Dollar General have to close their stores because of this?) They are frequently out of basic produce like celery, blueberries, cucumbers. I’ve had multiple instances of being overcharged, such as buying one avocado and being charged for 11. Another time, their scale was so off, I was charged $42 for a few pears. The new self service checkout is a joke. No room to put your own bags and even if you are just buying a few things, you are forced to use a credit card for $4 transaction. It’s just not worth it anymore.
